EOTech Class Action (something for everyone)

So I have 4 of the 512's. Tested 2 of them in a 0F freezer and noticed no shift. One was on a gun not available to me at the time and one is only a few months old so those 2 didn't get tested.
So I want to keep them and get the $100 voucher for each one.
My question is will I be allowed to use all 4 vouchers on one purchase? IOW get $400 off something else from them?
If I can only use 1 per purchase I guess I'll just go with the cash, or maybe send 'em all in for refund if I still can- unclear on that.

I would use the contact form to ask that.

https://secureforms.heffler.com/Forms/131/Contact/65548945-6ddd-4f38-bf0f-311b7d361e40

I would assume you could combine but you never know.

I missed that contact form- thanks.
Question asked.
We'll see what they say or if they even respond......

Part of me just wants to send all 4 in but I really haven't seen any other optic I like better...as a practical matter mine will probably never see below 20degF or above 100degF.

Apparently I need to read more closely. I sent my sight to them a few weeks ago. Was looking on their site seeing if there was a way to check progress and I see this.

"12. WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY BENEFIT?

Answer:
In general, valid claims will be paid or vouchers forwarded after the Court approves the Settlement and any appeals have been resolved. It is always uncertain whether these appeals can be resolved, and resolving them can take up to a year or more. This website will keep you informed of the progress of the Settlement and when the other benefits may become available. Please be patient. Do not call the Court to find out when the benefit will be paid or vouchers forwarded.

So basically I could be waiting forever. My fault for not reading it.

In reference to asking a question on their contact form- I asked about using more than one $100 voucher on a single purchase on April 18. Now May 11 and no reply yet.

Well hopefully this isn't an elaborate scam to get many thousands of dollar in high end optical sights.
Did you receive any confirmation that they have received your sight? I want to send mine back, but am hesitant for the potential lack of receipt verification and the long timeframe (a year or more). While a UPS signature proves they received a box, this does not prove they received the sight. Probably nothing to worry about, but still a concern when talking about a $500+ sight that in my case may be just fine.

I rarely use my AR with EOTech and will probably never be subjecting it to the extremes cited that cause issues. So I may end up skipping the chance at a refund. I am on the fence and quickly running out of time to make a decision.

No, they've sent nothing that I've seen saying they got the sight, only the signature upon delivery.

Hanzo, have you received anything? I just filled out the form today, and today is the deadline.... I'm fighting with myself whether I should send mine back or not.

Also, I bought mine at Cabelas in Dec 2015... Do you think they would accept a return after 18 months :D? I've got everything, the box, the receipt...

Some of y'all just crack me up. The issue with the EOTECHs was loss of zero resulting from extreme temperature variation. Unless you're zeroing them in the Arctic and then deploying in the MiddleEast, you shouldn't have problems.

Those I know who've used the XPS3 (and the 552s) for serious business in certain areas, having zeroed those sights over there, and used them exclusively over there, have had ZERO issues with the EOTECHs, and continue to use them.

I you have an extreme temp change, you're supposed to verify Zero. Standard practice up here for any scope or Aimpoint.

I haven't noticed anything unusual from my Eotech XPS0.

Checked in on the site just to see if anything had changed and saw this.

Please note that the Final Fairness Hearing is rescheduled for 7/7/2017 at 9:30 a.m., in Courtroom 7D, Kansas City (BCW) before District Judge Brian C. Wimes.

I don't know the result of the hearing, but that is the final step before distribution of funds. Assuming of course the settlement was approved.

Well well, a single $100 voucher showed up in the mail today. Thing is I sent in for 4. Hopefully they are mailed separately.
But there was a gotcha- the vouchers can only be used at ONE store, presumably their's. Of course they are all list price. I was assuming the $100 voucher could be used no matter where you buy another EoTech at a discount off list AND the $100 voucher.
If I'd have known they were doing it this way I'd have just sent all 4 of mine back for the full refund.

I sent my EoTech sight in on April 13, 2007 certified mail and a letter certified mail with all the paperwork. I haven't heard a thing yet. My sight had a completely different problem in that it developed a "ghost dot" at the 4:30 position not far from the red dot. Never could get rid of it. I immediately emailed the company after the problem developed (outside of the Optic Planet 30 day return time) and was put on hold regardless of how many times I emailed them. Never got through by phone. I've been waiting for my $$$, which will probably never happen even though they have my sight, so I can afford to buy another red dot but from a different manufacturer. Less than 24 hours ago I mentioned that I have not heard anything about being reimbursed from the EoTech law suit. Received a check today for full MSRP. So, if you have completed the correct paperwork and sent the sight in you should get what ever you told them you wanted. For me, it was just full reimbursement and have a nice day keep the sight.

I just got the reimbursement check in the mail today as well. I already got a replacement red dot a while back, now I have some funds for a new project.

I sold my Eotech sights back to Eotech when they first started their buy back program a while ago. It was nice of them to pay the price I had originally paid for them.

Just got the $22.50 voucher a few days ago. The sights really did not ring my bell before and along with the poor battery life when the sight was turned off, I have no intention of cashing in on the voucher.

It's gone in the round file.

I bought a 512 right before I became aware of all the problems. Mine was junk and went to Eotech for repairs once. Got it back and it still kept draining the battery even in the off position. I mailed it in to the class action suit and just got my check last week.

Really slow process, but it all worked out in the end.

I was really disappointed in Eotech. I registered the sight with them but never received any notification about the lawsuit or the option to refund. Because of that, I missed the offer for an upfront refund and had to go through the class action suit.

I will not be purchasing another sight from Eotech anytime soon. Their customer service was horrible.
