Hey all! Well it's not 1945 anymore, but who doesn't love a good vintage themed Mosin loadout picture (or two)? :)

This is my 1939 Tula M91/30 with gear and a Tokarev pistol as a backup sidearm:

For closer in engagements, here is my 1944 Ishevsk M38 carbine with Tokarev and trench spade:

Everything you see above is authentic Russian/Soviet surplus except the Tokarev and its holster which are Romanian. Was taking some pictures tonight and just figured I'd share. I'd love to see your old school combat loadouts and rifles if you've got any hanging around the bunker or foxhole!! :D

Take care guys!

Looks good.

Off Topic: The spam can ammo is much more expensive than it was not too long ago. The trench spade was held in high esteem to hit the enemy with.

Yep! I've got six more of the 440 round spam cans, bought them when they were $0.15 per round. :)

That M-38 is sweet. 2x the fireball with 1/2 the length o_O

Can I ask how is the accuracy in yours?

I've only shot it at 25 yards, but it was grouping under an inch. Indoor range, it is like flash bulb going off with a huge fireball every time!!

yep and I also own a mosin nagant 91/30 its a fine rifle and I should of bought more of the surplus ammo because we all know the war on guns will return next time someone antigun get in office they will try us again! Hillary well we dodged a bullet!!

Very nice. I only have one Mosin, a New England Westinghouse that ended up with the Finns before making it back here. It is an early one with a 31" barrel and no upper hand guard, never had one.

It has a sweet single stage trigger and It regularly shoots 1-2" groups at a hundred yards. The trigger is so good that I have to believe the Finns fooled around with it.

Nice rig. I have always liked the stone-simple MNs - I have a nice 1941 91-30 that shoots the Russki surplus just "o.k.", but I have a 91/59 that is a tack driver with it. The -30 has a good bore with a little minor roughness and the -59 has a like-new bore - probably re-barreled when they were cut down. I got them when they were $50-$60 apiece & the ammo $80 a case of 880. The good ol' days...

The Finns fooled around with all their rifles.

Very nice pics. I love Mosins and was lucky to get them when they were cheap. I have M91, Multiple 91/30s, M38, M44, M9159, and Finn M27, M30, M39. Love them all but my 2 favs are a well used Polish M44 and a 1929 Tula Hex 91/30. Wish the spam cans were 19.95 again and could still get the training ammo with a very light bullet at over 3000fps. Same bang and flame with no recoil and accurate. I need to take some Mosins to the range. Enjoy yours!

Very cool collections, I love the old school military accouterments.

Some might call me sheltered but I had never seen a Mosin being fired until last week. A young hipster-looking guy brought his short-barreled Mosin carbine to the indoor range, the next lane over from me. When it went off I thought my heart stopped beating for a second. Huge fireball and dust drifting down from the rafters with each shot. Not something I would enjoy shooting but the experience was pretty funny.
