Who has the Ruger American Rimfire Target model and how does it stack up against the CZ455 Tacticool? There is little information or YouTube videos out there and less comparative content. In my mind, CZ probably wins out on accuracy, but loses on price and magazine capacity/compatibility. However, I would love to hear from actual owners.

Not curious about the non-target model Ruger American Rimfires. I want a heavy barrel, threaded .22LR as a suppressor host/small game rifle.

I had a 452 Trainer that I sold to buy a Ruger Rimfire Target, and I shoot the Ruger most every week. I don't run a can on the Ruger - I just screwed on a flash hider to replace the factory thread protector and add some mass to the end of the barrel.

Pros: It's accurate enough for varminting and range work (like most of my rimfires, it likes CCI Blazer best for the cheap fodder and Eley Subsonics and Target do well for higher priced ammo), it feel relatively substantive, scope mounting was easy without bolt handle or ring weirdness, I prefer the rotary magazine over the CZ's extended/protruding box magazine, and I very much like the ability to adjust the LOP/comb height (that's why I bought it).

Cons: The plastic stock isn't as warm and comforting as lumber, and I wish that the buttplates were more grippy.

I'm a fan.

The plastic stock isn't as warm and comforting as lumber,
Is the Ruger American rimfire target available with the plastic stock? I've yet to see one in person but all those I've seen on the Ruger web site are shown with a sharp looking laminated stock. The plastic stock from the standard American rimfire would be nice for those wanting the adjustment capability with LOP and comb height but that laminated would also appeal to quite a few buyers also. Now I'm wondering if the buyer has a choice?

All of the Ruger American Target rifles I've seen have laminated stocks. I'm thinking about one as well. I'm quite impressed with the center fire American rifles and have one of the Ruger 10-22 LVT rifles. That 10-22 out shoots my CZ. If the bolt gun is any better it won't be a contest.

Ah, I see that they came out with a new model - my apologies. This is the version that I have - their first Rimfire American without iron sights and with a threaded barrel:

Yes, the newer Target has a heavier barrel and laminate stock.

How is the accuracy of the Ruger compared to the CZ
I ran the CZ with iron sights and the Ruger with an optic, so I can't really give a fair comparison. I can say that the Ruger will put most any bulk 22LR fodder into a 1.5" group at 50 yards, get consistently at 1" with Blazer, and shoot Eley Target and Eley Subsonic into sub-1" cloverleafs.
