How do you store your firearms?

We manufacture all types of firearm and bow displays and are curious what people's preferences are when storing their guns. Vaults, vault rooms, cabinets, or storage with more accessibility? Here is an example of a slatwall rail system we make. Does anyone use a similar system? IMG_3320.jpg

If I had a room big enough to dedicate as an armory, with a vault door access, That system would be very nice. I have to keep mine in a much smaller venue, a standard steel safe designed for the purpose.

All of my guns are in safes with no open display of any firearms or firearms accessories. Nice rack and shelving system for a gun shop.

I have 3 gun safes and a 4x5' vault.
I have some guns on display, but they are surplus rifles, nothing fancy. I still don't have enough room.
I don't have any of the cheap stack-on cabinet, to easy to get into. But then it only takes about 20 min. and a cheap 4"side grinder to get into a gun safe.
I've been thinking about getting something like this for my shop.

Mine are all in a safe, long guns in the main compartment and handguns hanging on the door. The top shelf of the safe keeps my nicer knives and the few magazines I like to keep loaded.

I only had one gun on display, a Marlin 1892 .22 lever action with a rusty bore. Had it sitting on the fireplace mantle for years, then I noticed it disappeared this past winter when my wife decorated for Christmas. She doesn't seem too interested in letting me put it back...

If I could afford a vault, or a home big enough to have a vault, I'd definitely go for a system like that. It isn't in the cards right now though.

Metal locking 2'x3' box with shelves for the handguns.
Its not a safe, but very secure, and power tools would be needed to gain entry.

Cable locks on guns, locked plastic rifle cases, locked in the back of a closet for the long guns.
I also run a cable through the cases with a padlock secured to the floor.

Rolling locking plastic stanley tool box for the ammo.

I keep my home secure, and also have the entire property fenced and locked.

My guns are stored in whatever was one step below the Sears Best 8 gun safe in 1988.

So...do you actually care or basically using this thread to sell?

That's not very polite.

It seems to me that they're posting on a board for gun enthusiasts looking for ideas to enhance or improve their product. Basically, we're being asked to be a source of cheap market research. Any feedback will be helpful. Any product ideas are being advanced on an open forum. I think it's a good idea on their part.

And, befitting the non-commercial nature of this site, I'm sure they would tell you that any sales are incidental.:what:

They already had a post (I assume deleted since it says they only have one post total) that was straight up a sales pitch. You'd have to be born yesterday to not see what's doing on here.

At any rate, this site makes money off advertisements, if they want to give away free publicity that's their business, but I thought I'd call them out. I mean, have you noticed them post again in the conversation? Do people that are interested in actual responses usually post then leave?

And you'd also understand that I couldn't have seen a deleted post.

Oh, yeah, I didn't mean that you saw their previous post, I meant even from just this thread you can see what they're doing.

That's what I think this is. If its not an ad, im not sure what they'll learn from how this small group stores firearms. Most will say safes. Me, 3 cannons. This product seems to only realistically suit a gun shop imo. If I were to use something like this, I'd have to buy a lot of locks, have a vault, or wind up putting them back in the safe at night anyways.

Evidently the OP isn't interested in discussing this, so we'll close this. I would generally just delete a drive by add, but there seems to be at least some interest, so I'll leave it visible.
