What one single firearm would you choose as a gift?

My first rifle was a gift from my son on my 63rd birthday. 1929 hex receiver Ishevsk Mosin Nagant. When I go he gets it back. When he goes one of my grandsons gets it, along with my Marlin 60. Not expensive guns but fun to shoot.

I guess it would be something I would never buy for myself. Like, I would buy a python or a P7. So, maybe a Coonan or a PSG-1? Or an Hk MK23

That's an unfair question! I can't possibly narrow it down to one, but Michael Tinker Pearce, I definitely like your choice! But I think for Today, if I had my "Druthers", I'd go with a Ruger #1 International, in 7X57 Mauser. Just one of my top "dream guns".

A Freedom Arms "Field Grade" revolver, probably .357 Magnum, with a 6.5" barrel. Nothing super fancy, just a gun I wouldn't buy for myself because the practical side of me say's a plain old Ruger Blackhawk will work just as well.:)

In order of Unobtanium:
Johnson M1945 Light Machine Gun
M-1 Garand in .276pedersen
Pedersen Automatic Rifle in .276
Johnson M-1941 Rifle
5th Fleet Shooting Team 7.62 Garand
National Postal Meter M-1 Carbine.

Gave this a little more thought. Was always fond of the single action revolvers that Bill Grover made- so one of those:)

Kolar combo with single trap, plus over under barrels and the 20-28-410 subgauge tubes. Set up with same drop and pitch as my TB (45 years my trap gun, don't tell her), and a lifetime supply of shells for all four gauges. Adjustable rib and a bump buster.
Guess that should do it.
