I have seen a lot of ballistics calculators on the internet but they always ask what yardage the rifle is sighted in at. Well, I only have a 100 yard range to shoot on. I have a 7mm Rem Mag that's hitting 2.5" high at 100 yards. The bullet is a Nosler Accubond 160 gr boat tail with a BAC of .531. The bullets are traveling at 3050 fps ten foot from muzzle thru my Chrony. My question is, if this bullet is 2.5" high at 100 yards, what will be the zero? Anyone have a calculator that can do that?

If your interest in exterior ballistics grows into a "need to know it all" situation, Sierra Bullet's Infinity software on a disc is one of the best, if not "the" best. It includes data for most other bullets besides their own. Dozens of output data types to select for charts and tables.

You're missing an important variable -- how high is your line of sight above the bore line?

Assuming a large objective scope with 3.0" above line of sight, you should be dead on at around 275 yards, and about 7" low at 350.

With 2" above line of sight, you'll be dead on at 250 yards, and about 9" low at 350.

JBMBallistics calculator will do everything you want.

Using the data Phil gives ... Velocity 3050, Sight height 1.52" , altitude 791', Nosler 160 grain Accubond .284 bullet ... using Standard Barometric Pressure & conditions .... 2.5" high @ 100 yards ...

JBM gives a zero @ 257/258 yards ... Theoretical of course ... Would have to be shot to be sure ...
