What's On Your Nightstand

I use a dedicated nightstand pistol that sits in a V-line vault with spare magazine, and hand held SureFire LED. Years ago I realized that whatever I did keep would have to be something my wife could also use. At that time I downsized from a .45 to a 9mm and went with a M&P 5" Pro and added a SureFire X400 light/laser with remote switch. It stays loaded (17+1) with 147 Speer GDHPs (same in the spare mag):

I've got a spare M&P 5" Pro that we use for a range gun. My wife's gotten pretty good with them as has my 13 year old son.

Well none on the nightstand, but in the dresser drawer there are a couple of choices.

Not on my nightstand (that would be where the lamp and alarm clock go), but inside a drawer there's a gun vault with my SIG P229R with a SIG STL-900 laser/light module attached to it. That and a couple of spare mags make up the handgun part of my home defense set-up.

Stack of magazines, reading glasses, lamp, clock radio, Dum-Dum Suckers, table cloth so I don't scratch the top and a flashlight. Too bad you didn't ask what is in the top drawer. So I'm not telling.
