Where is the cheapest place to get reloading supplies online? such as bullets, brass, powder, primers etc.

Where is the cheapest place to get reloading supplies online? such as bullets, brass, powder, primers etc.

This sort of runs with what day of the week is it? Prices and sales vary day to day among online retailers. Powder Valley generally has good prices, I also buy from Mid South Shooter's Supply and a host of others. Something you want to keep in mind is when buying items like powder and primers they ship HAZMAT (Hazardous Materials) so a HAZMAT charge is tacked on to the regular shipping rates. You want to get as much as you can into a single shipment. My last Mid South Shooters Supply had free HAZMAT if you bought 24 pounds of powder or more. Anyway, deals and pricing varies day to day so it becomes a matter of shopping around and comparing prices. Take note also that some sellers do not ship from their location but rather drop ship from another supplier. The problem with this is that powder and then primers may ship from two locations as two orders and incur two HAZMAT charges as well as shipping cost.

This thread is the listing talked about where members post current sales and good deals. Just click the link.

Midway is the most common among reloaders but not always the cheapest. http://www.midwayusa.com/
I like Gamaliel's. Spend over $50 (easy to do) and get free shipping. http://www.gamaliel.com/
For plated bullets try Xtreme. Check for daily deals & clearance. http://www.xtremebullets.com/
For powder look at "Powder Valley". It requires haz-mat fee for powder & primers. http://powdervalleyinc.com/ I suggest you get your powder at a gun show.

Being on this site, I am constantly learning new websites & deals. Just check around by letting your fingers do the walking!

FWIW...

YES, amazon is a good suggestion of where to shop! You can't get components there, but I have gotten good deals on dies & tools there.

Have you reloaded before?
What caliber are you planning to reload?
Is your firearm a bolt action or semi-auto?
Do you want to reload for hunting or recreation?
How much of an investment and time are you willing to put into reloading?
Answer these questions and give it some thought.
reply if you want more information from me.

With 12$ admission to gun show, 5$ parking and all the bullshoot dealers there I consider gun shows to be a total waste of time.
Get on some email blasts from the major suppliers and you'll often see no hazmat offered. Recently one outfit offered no hazmat and no minimum order on powder and primers. Not sure how they were able to pull that off.

Be careful when buying powder and primers from Midway USA. Since Midway doesn't actually sell powder they have it drop shipped from Powder Valley. If you but both powder and primers from Midway you will be charged two Hazmat fees.

If you are buying bulk primers and powder I feel Powder Valley is the best source.

Powder Valley is the best all around $ in my book. They set the standards for powder and primer pricing.

Midsouth would be my second choice. But you have to watch some of their powder pricing can be more than Powder Valleys. But Midsouth carries a wider selection of equipment than Powder Valley.

Missouri Bullet Co.: Never a problem and reasonable pricing. + 5% THR discount.

Rocky Mountain Reloading has some fantastic deals if you keep and eye out. Another 5% store.

Edit: Most of Amazon's reloading equipment pricing, from what I have observed, is over rated. Even their MTM plastic boxes are much more than what I find locally. But they usually ship faster. And if you're a prime member, usually for free.

Another vote for Powder Valley. Natchez Shooters Supplies, Midway, Graff & Sons, Widners, and Mid South all have good deals at various times as well for all things reloading. Missouri Bullet, Rocky Mountain Reloading, X-Treme bullet, Berries Bullets and Rainier Bullets all have good quality reasonably priced bullets. I have purchased from all of the above sources at one time or another and been happy with all of them FWIW. Both RMR and Missouri are active members here. There are a host of others if you take the time to look around with internet searches when you have time. As stated the prices and availability will vary between the usual suspects so it pays to research each time you want to order. Ammoseek.com has capabilities to look for reloading components and compare price so it is a good source as well. Happy searching.

223/5.56 brass--Brassbombers.com. I got 500 swaged LC 95% same lot for $55. that's the cheapest i could find and I'm very happy with it. small pistol primers=cabelas and just about any other primer too as they are the same price but no hazmat but i only buy 2k at a time.

For costly items after I have decided what I want I do a search either by part number or description. Such as:
Aimpoint 12841
Aimpoint PRO Patrol Rifle Red Dot Sight
If the browser has a shopping feature it's easy to compare prices.
