Thanks to my awesome coworkers who gave me a Visa giftcard for my birthday and a recently sold Steyr M9 I was able to put a RDB on layaway today, price is $999.99.
I searched but nothing new on the RDB. So, who out there has an RDB and what is your opinion? Give me the good, the bad and the ugly, I can take it.

I've always been interested in their rifles, in particular the RFB and CMR-30 but I can't really find an non-biased positive opinion on quality/reliability. Can't wait to hear your feedback once you get her off layaway.

Nutnfancy and Military Arms Channel both have YouTube videos on it. I don't particularly like nutnfancy's channel but I watch sometimes. He gave it a favorable review. I didn't watch the other one, but remember seeing it. I personally would spend a couple hundred more for even a used Tavor or Aug

The out of the box experience with my RDB was way better than with my RFB (back to Kel-Tec twice, and its still never gone more than 200 rounds without some kind of failure with the ejector-elevator mechanism). No issues so far with my RDB, but I've not had a chance to really exercise it yet on the steel plates but it performed well when sighting in at the square range. Been too wet to get much shooting in at my friend's ranch where I shoot rifles at steel plates. My local club has great steel plates for pistols, but still is paper only for rifles.

I'd suggest a Tavor ahead of the RDB if this will be your first bullpup, I've had my Tavor a lot longer and its seen a lot of use and never had a problem of any kind. Bullpups are a good bit of my collection and I have several "impractial" ones like the Chinese and Romanian AK bullpups and the Bushmaster M17S. The Tavor is my favorite, followed by the FS2000, new shooters really like the PS-90 for the low recoil and 50-round capacity :)

I don't really have any use for another .223 rifle, and too many of my rifles spend too much time in the safe anyway, but I think I'm going to pick one of these up if I ever see a good opportunity. Seems to me like it would be a great first bullpup since its lowered the entry cost by about a third, and it has a lot of good features going for it too. Looking forward to your review and experiences.

I didn't care much for the RFB I had but it's a different beast, translation: I don't like 30 cal muzzles that close to me. The RDB sounds interesting, I'd like to know more about it. I have both PMR and CMR, love 'em.

I was wondering about have 308 muzzle blast that close also. A local shop had one of the longer barreled RFB's which looked much more reasonable.

I have a CMR-30. Very good lightweight plinker. It has worked well for me. No significant issues. Not quite Glock reliable, but very reliable for a plinking rifle. Decently accurate for what it is also. I don't know if current prices make it worth it to you.

I'm not sure I'd plunk down the asking price, but if one came along in trade or the stars align and I get a deal on one...

They're interesting rifles. I kinda like the looks of the survival rifle model personally.

The RDB is weird. Actually, a lot of Keltecs are pretty weird.

It would make me awfully nervous to spend a grand on a Keltec. That will buy a Colt AR and a small pile of ammo, or maybe a BCM on sale. Or a hell of an AR build.

It's also weird that they labeled their ban state model as a "survival" model, of all things.

At any rate, I'm very curious to see how you like yours. In a couple months, I guess.

Interesting, I haven't looked much at Keltec in a long time since they never seem to produce enough to stabilize market prices at what I see as a reasonable level. That said, these RDBs are pretty interesting, are actually available, and at least on GB seem to be going for $1k or even a little less... $900 - $1k is getting into the range where my curiosity about bullpups might overpower concerns about practicality.

It seems like an RDB would be an interesting suppressor host, nice and short, about the same price as an SBR without the blast and paperwork.

I'll be interested to hear how you like it after you pick it up.

Military Arms Channel did a youtube review of an RDB with a suppressor attached.

My girlfriend is one of these wonky cross-eyed dominant freaks of nature so I have a hell of a time trying to find a good weapon for her. Since she has to shoot left handed, the RDB makes a bit of sense as it's bottom ejection and ambi controls are the cats meow for lefties. I still am researching the RDB as well but so far it seems like it would be a good choice. Other options I've been looking at is the Beretta AR-100 with its reversible ejection and the PS90. However, the PS90 option would mean an odd-ball caliber that is less effective and harder to reload for.

The more I've read about these, the more I actually want one, a standard version, the RDB-S is downright hard to look at. In the <$1k price point they seem like a good alternative to an SBR. Most reviews appear to be favorable, even concerning the trigger, rare for a bullpup.

The Tavor is my favorite, followed by the FS2000
I just saw a video today where Karl Kasarada said that his favourite bullpups are Tavor, RDB, FS2000. Of course Ian had to mention that he can't use Tavor, so... I thought Tavor was switcheable like AUG.

Tavor CAN be switched to Leftie, but not in the field. Takes some different internal bits...I think, like bolt so it's more of an armorers deal than a Trooper being able to switch and choose. Here: https://www.iwi.us/Products/Tavor-I...s/Tavor®-SAR-Barrel-Bolt-Kit-Left-Handed.aspx

Well, I already have 4 Ars and no bullpups so I figured I'd give the Keltec a try. I haven't seen any negative reviews so I'm not too worried about getting a lemon.
