Hope I posted in correct forum:
To get my Winchester Model 74 (semi-auto) .22LR shooting reliably, I had to gently hammer/straighten a bent guide pin in the bolt.

I took it down to the range to see how it shoots.

It has iron sights, and it is shooting an inch to the right at 25 yards.

Is this the accuracy I can expect out of this rifle or would adjustments to the sight help?

I'm trying to figure out if I drift the rear sight (Like a Henry 22LR), or drift the front sight to adjust for "windage"?

I haven't found anything in a search of THR or on the internet,

Maybe someone here might "know the answer"

Thanks for your time,
JD

I have a model 74 and adjusted the rear sight for windage. This was many years ago. It shoots regular 22LR best, i.e. 40 grain, standard velocity ammo. It loves Blazer. These rifles were manufactured before all the "high speed" jacketed 22 ammo was available.

Remember, if you move either sight, that the rear sight needs to go in the direction you want the point of impact to move - in your case both the rear sight and the poi move to the left. The front sight should be moved opposite the direction you want the poi to move.
