Which .45 ?

I just picked up a used USP45 in a trade yesterday.
The single action trigger is very nice and the safety is very usable. This might be my open carry semi auto C&L'd in the future.
It's a pretty large grip however.

I recently bought a Ruger SR45 and find it to be a pretty nice gun. I paid $400 at CDNN. The all black model is $380. CDNN is running a special right now with free shipping. I removed the magazine disconnect, cleaned the striker channel of all the grease and the gun shoots great.

G30 Gen4. Put some good sights on it and get a couple of G21 mags for it when used as a nightstand gun. I really like the size and handling.
There's a guy on gunbroker that was selling blue label glocks recently and may still be. I think I paid a little over $500 + shipping.

Hard to beat a G21 SF with night sights. Keep a flashlight next to it. Later on when the budget allows, add an insight M6 light/laser combo.

I know I said Springfield was out , but I really liked the XDM 4.5" overall . It would be even better if it had the MOD.2 grip . I liked the sights , the capacity and that I get 6 mags . The trigger was not the lightest , but it didn't have hardly any take-up and I liked that . I had to change my grip some to release the mag . I don't think you would unintentionally drop a mag while firing it .
I also liked the PPQ , it's between those two . I like the fell of the PPQ better , I liked the slide release , it had a lighter trigger , but a lot of take-up before it broke and I liked the real short reset . I didn't like the sights . The mag release was real easy to hit without changing my grip . I am a little concerned that I could hit it under recoil and drop the mag. , because it is so easy to hit .
The Sig had the lightest trigger , but it felt mushy and had a real short pull , too short and light for my liking .
Glock 21SF , didn't like the feel .
M&P 2.0 , didn't like the trigger , it had the most take-up , but it broke light . I didn't like the aggressive grip texture , I know some would love it . You would not have to put any tape on that grip for slipping when your hands are wet . I thought it was the nicest looking pistol of the bunch .

I'd pick whichever one had the best feeling in the hand and the weight you want.
Then I'd consider the trigger.
Then capacity.
Lastly I consider the sights.
The sights can be changed easily to meet exact specifications. Extended mags are everywhere, as are nice aftermarket triggers if you really want to go that route. I prefer keeping things mostly stock and can learn to live with most triggers. How it points and handles is the hardest thing to change.
Then I'd consider the trigger.

Wait, so you're caving on Springfield? That makes it easy, with their price and the four extra mag extra deal I change my vote for sure. My original XD45 runs like a top.

Go on and find you a good ole used S&W 4566(TSW) or a big 4506 or even a 645. I love'em.

I don't know if I am selling out , but I did like all the XD line .45's a lot . I will add though the XDM 4.5 45 was the most expensive of the group , $600 plus tax at the LGS . I can get the PPQ 45 for $570 plus tax after rebate at the LGS , or $444 after rebate online with shipping and FFL included .
The XD has the 4 free mag. promotion going , so I would have 6 mags . .

Yeah, but you get a lot with that extra century. 16 round capacity, eats any ammo I've fed it, and it is the first 45ACP I've ever had
which was ready to go, with no mods or break-in, straight from the box. Shoots to POA, and has an integral hammer decocker/safety.

I have an FNP45 and it is a great gun. It has to have a fat grip with holding 15 rounds of .45ACP.
Also look at the Ruger American Pistol in .45ACP, good gun. I own one and like it a lot.
