Colt Patterson 5 shot measure

I've seen these in box sets of originals, and looks like Petersoli sells one.

How do you measure 5 cylinders of powder at once with these? I don't see a valve. Not sure how you would do this without having a finger on each one... maybe I'm missing something?

Invert the flask over the cylinder, align the spouts with the chambers and press down to fill all of them at once with the "correct" charge.

Mine is cased by Replica Arms, Marietta, Ohio with one of the first Paterson reproductions (MOFRA) and I have not actually tried using it so I can not speak to how well it actually works.

Two just sold on ebay.

One for $7 SH and $79.99 Buy it Now and one for $10 SH and $38 at auction.

It was unusual to have two in competition.

I've seen them go for over a hundred on there.

Paterson loading tools also fetch a premium on ebay.
