Well I scored another sreaming deal

That's a good deal. I like the m&p series a lot. They fit my hand great. Only thing you might want to consider is dropping an Apex trigger kit in it. They are a nice upgrade over the factory trigger which isn't great IMO. I am thinking about getting my slide milled for a RDS on mine. The gun is definitely well supported with aftermarket parts. Not Glock level but pretty good

That is surely a deal for sure. We're gonna have to take away your internet privileges so the rest of us have a chance. :D

My recently purchased M&P 40c has a pretty good trigger right out of the box, its loosened up even more after 500 rounds. I'm ok with it. The apex trigger is 160 bucks, I'll pass.

I scored pretty good at a gun show a couple of weeks ago. Got a full size SIG 320RX (the one with the factory mounted red dot) with two 17-round magazines for $650. Ended up at $704 after sales tax. I'd been looking for these for a while and up to this the best price I'd found was $830 on-line.

Weather has been uncooperative so I've only shot it once. Function was perfect. Seems either they don't test fire it at the factory with the red dot, or someone messed with it in the store, although the battery was not installed, it was clear the irons and the red dot couldn't both be right. Test firing showed I needed to adjust the dot to basically match the irons.

Looking forward to getting out again with it now that my 21-round mags have arrived. :)

I like that the trigger doesn't have a hinge or paddle like Glock, M&P etc., not sure how they've managed this to make it "drop safe" without such a gadget. Other quirk is the O-ring on the red dot battery compartment is really tight -- the manual warns not to over tighten the battery cover, but this O-ring is so tight it took about four tries to get it tightened down enough to work as the torque seemed plenty high when I stopped but each time I removed and replaced the cover it went in about a half turn more, on the fourth or fifth try the dot finally turned on. I'd seen a dealer struggle with this very thing demoing the pistol for a customer who eventually bought it at $840+tax.
