Stopped by my friends gun shop this morning to show him some deer pictures and he had to pull out a pistol that he had traded for. I bought it immediately. This is a Daewoo DP51 9mm with the Tri-action trigger. Like New in the Box with papers. Import stopped in 2009. This one shows DSCF1001 (800x561).jpg very little sign of use. I needed another 9mm.

They also make ships, cars, ....machine guns. It is equal to genIII S&W or SIG and when found used in excellent condition cost $300 or less. When presented with quality sidearm from name they never heard they will not touch with a long pole. Booght BC Miroku sub nose revolver (Colt copy) for $150.

Do you live next door to DARKLORD40K? He was considering buying a Daewoo 9mm, and I made a long post in reply to his.

Thanks for putting the excellent photo. The Daewoo's seemed like good guns to me, but they were not polymer and did not have a Glock-type, irreducibly simple trigger mechanism.

PS - I wish I lived somewhere where guns like this can be found for $300 or less in excellent condition. Where I live, people have bigger ideas.

Cool find and thanks for sharing.

I had never heard of this firearm before and have in the last hour done a ton of research to bring me "somewhat" up to speed. I don't know that I'd have any utilitarian purpose for it but it's definitely got a novel appeal with that action.

I'd probably pick one up just to have, if I found one for a really smoking deal.

Omg! What are the odds? Putting pics of my new DP51 in my thread now....I just realized I must have the "compact" version!

Its sort of available again as the Lionheart. I almost got one new before the election for about $300 Decided I needed to replenish my supplies of powder and primers just in case since availability and supply had improved.

Nice find! I always thought that the Daewoo DP51 would make for an interesting addition to my family of 9mm.s.
