What 22LR for best accuracy?

That is one thing about the Norma Tac it will function a semi auto. Don't know if the Norma Match will or not, haven't tried it. Federal Auto match is made specifically for semi auto's and has shown good accuracy in a number of different rifles.

Asking about the best 22LR ammo is a deep well. The only sure fact concerning accurate 22LR ammo and a specific rifle is that the ammo is consistently inconsistent. It also depends on the shooter's expectation of accuracy, how accurate the barrel can be, and the skill level of the shooter. I like how RWS's brochure grades their ammo and gives it an expectation of 10 shot groups at 1", 3/4", or 1/4" (converted to standard, of course). If asked, I think everyone would prefer to shoot 1/4", 5 shot groups at 50yds, but that's not always possible, even if you purchase the most expensive ammo. While nobody really wants to admit it, there is expensive ammo that shoots no better than inexpensive ammo in any specific rifle. The more expensive the ammo, the more statistically consistent it should be in terms of components and velocity. Consistent velocity, narrow ranges between lowest and highest velocity means a lower standard deviation and means fewer flyers, which should mean smaller groups. But it doesn't always work that way.

While I don't know what the OP's expectation is, if you've already used Wolf ME and liked it, 3/4"+ groups might be a disappointment to you. It is pretty well known that Lapua manufactures and rebrands SK and Wolf 22LR. Many people like SK standard+ target ammo. Ruag makes RWS, Norma, and Geco 22LR. And Eley of course. I would start at the bottom of their lines and work your way up until you either reach the accuracy limit or the end of your budget. As much as I dislike admitting it, the US-made 22LR doesn't hang with the European made 22LR. IMHO, I don't know why so many people like CCI SV (but it's never grouped that well for me). I wouldn't bother with minimags unless your expectation is 1.5" @50yds.

The other consideration is if you're trying to use the same ammo in the CZ452 and the 10/22. The most consistent ammo should be a RN or FP 40gr lead bullet at 1080fps. These may not run your 10/22, depending on how modified it is. You may need to run HV ammo in the 10/22. But then again, the expectation should be that the CZ452 should outshoot the 10/22.

But when your rifle does like rws r50, it WILL shoot 1/4" groups @ 50yds as my custom vostok cm2 will do!!!

There are probably guys here that think this is B.S. I can assure you that I've shot multiple five shot 1/4" groups in one range day with my CZ and Wolf Match Extra. Other supposedly high grade ammo was doing 1-2" groups.

Each rifle like to eat what it likes to eat

And, everybody says "my .22 is really accurate". Dunno what their version of accurate is.

Thanks Cougar1717...I didn't know that Ruag manufactured all those and that's helpful. Or that Lapua rebrands Wolf. To your questions, I don't use the same ammo in both rifles, and yes, the CZ452 still outshoots a 10/22 with a Volquartsen trigger, target stock, and Green Mountain barrel. I'll try the RWS and SK, both are available here

I have owned several CZ rifles, shot many times more CZ rifles, shot sporter matches against even more CZ rifles, and shot a lot of Wolf ammo. I don't doubt that a CZ can do 1/4" groups when everything is just right. My experience and observations have shown that most CZs are more like 1/2" 50 yard group shooters, though. I also know that Wolf seems to have a flyer in every box that comes along just in time to ruin a fantastic group or great scoring card.

The Wolf and SK equivalent at the $6 or $8 / box of 50 level has worked well for me.

i won't even buy auto match it's so bad in my guns. I'm kind of surprised to hear people having success with it. I've had the best luck with cci of all varieties including blazers.

Those cz rifles will shoot! I had a 17hmr 452 that would keep 5 shots in a dime @ 100yds, was crazy!

Couple nights ago I head shot a ground hog at 60 yards that had been raiding my garden. All that was showing was the top half of his head. Got him in the ear, right where I was aiming. Federal Auto Match

Like I said, each rifle likes to eat what it likes to eat. I have maybe ten or twelve 325 boxes.

I like most brands of standard velocity ammunition. I blame inaccuracy on my shake factor and ratchety arthritic trigger finger. Getting old ain't so bad once you learn to accept it...

I'll have to give it another try the next time I get another 22. Lucky for me the two guns I shoot the most, my savage and my buckmark have identical tastes, what works in one always works in the other.

For subsonic rounds I like RWS and Aguila. Both give very reasonable accuracy to 50 yds for the price.

If you're looking to try subsonic in a 10/22 you might try lightening the bolt a bit and purchasing a charging handle and guide rod/reduced power spring combo from KIDD ($30). I can't guarantee it will cycle 100% but far more reliably than in stock form.
