I have been looking for a new gun belt that I can wear every day, to work as a teacher and switch to hunting, everyday carry etc... the best two belts I have come by are the bigfoot gun belt and the kore essentials gun belt. One has a metal inlay between the leather the other has more adjustment than any other belt.

Which do you all think is better and why? (I am putting links to both belts, incase you don't know where these belts are found or what they are)

If neither and a 3rd belt let me know and send a link to me if possible. (Keep in mind I need belt big enough for a 46 inch wais as well for my father 56-60 inch waist)

Howdy and good luck in your search. I can only comment on the Kore belt. I have two (brown and black) which are passable but far from ideal. I carry full size 1911 and I do much better with traditional, heavy gun belts. I baby the Kore belts because the finish does not seem durable. I don't think they would hold up to abrasions or moisture.

I have looked plenty good the few times I've used them for carry while wearing dress type clothes, but I've been very happy to get back to a belt that spreads the load more effectively.

I don't have any single belt that meets all my needs. I have brown and black in traditional, heavy duty gun belts and in the Kore belts. I would stick with the traditional belts if I didn't own pants with belt loops that are too small for my preferred gun belts - the Kore belts do work with the snowflake slacks.

I've worn a Bigfoot steel core every day for a year or so, carrying and otherwise. It does the job and has no wear marks. I'm guessing it would be a hassle at airports, but I don't go there anymore.

Me either, if I can't drive there, I don't think I need to go at this time

I looked at both when I was looking to replace my Desantis Econobelt for carry. Bigfoot belts and KORE have a lot in common such as price, build etc.

What sold me on the KORE was the adjustments. I did not and still do not like 5 or 6 hole belts spaced 1" apart. If you want a little bit of adjustment you either have to go much tighter or much looser. I don't have that problem with my KORE belt. I have worn mine for over a year, carrying exclusively IWB and AIWB. There is only one sag area I have noticed, the 6oclock belt loop of my jeans has folded in a dip in the belt. In the next few months I want to get another buckle and even one of the KORE wallets. They are built that well.

Been carrying with a Kore belt for about a year, with a Kahr CW9. It's been perfect for me. The adjustability is great.

Neither. Remington leather belt from Walmart sizes going up to 52". Lovingly made in worlds largest democracy and priced at $16 per belt. I have one and with them 12ga shell discs it looks KOOL.

I have two uncle Mike's copy of a wilderness instructors belt.
I like them because the velcro/buckle system allows quick and easy adjustment if you take your iwb holster on or off.
The holster area is reinforced.
As a fireman, the buckle provide an attachment point for a safety line

The Remington belt is down to 12 bucks at Walmart now. Nice looking belt.

I purchased a Wrangler belt there years ago for a work belt. Other than a mark where the buckle fits it still looks about new and I have worn it constantly up until late last fall. I went on a diet and it doesn't fit anymore. I haven't used it to carry a handgun so no idea how it would stand up to that use. It handled a flip phone for quite awhile though. I know--- there is a lot of difference between a phone and a gun but there was no wear from slipping the phone case on and off.

I'm not a fan of BIGFOOT gun belts.

The one I owned was flimsy, hardly better than a Wal-Mart leather one.

The best gun belt I have ever had was a Beltman belt. That thing would stick straight out like a yard stick if you held it out! Extremely fine belt. Plus, it doesn't have a stupid stamping of a fictional bipedal monkey on it, a major bonus.

I am a tremendous fan of the Milt Sparks VM-II holsters and have used them for about 15+ years, in conjunction with their double thickness gunbelt...however, I have switched to the Bigfoot steel-core lined gunbelt and could not be happier. The added stiffness makes a big difference in my book; not sure how Cooldill got a flimsy one but I'm sure a call to the company would have rectified it, and a company's logo on their product doesn't bother me.

I know nothing about the KORE belts, but I tend to not favor one-size fits-all products.

They look nice, but i've seen and bought a lots of things that look nice, and wasn't worth a dime after I bought them! Both links.

I like $16 Remongton branded belt from Walmart. As long as your holster loops slide over thicker part of belt it is a good gun belt. Why pay $70 or $80 for a belt?
