Went to see a movie this evening, "Wind River". I think for the first time, at least for me, there was a scene where the main character is doing some reloading.

This was not some super secret assassin load, but a normal guy cleaning primer pockets, chamfering cases, measuring powder, and sizing cases in a single die press. Had a nice little reloading table with all the normal stuff.

Interesting that of all things, Hollywood got this right.

There is a reloading scene in "Shooter", the TV series. Think it's either the first or second episode of the first season. It shows Bobby Lee Swagger handloading some .338 Lapua Magnum and measuring velocity using a MagnetoSpeed chronograph. I thought it was done pretty good, it was let down by the .338 having zero recoil though :(

EDIT: Added picture.

One of the death wish movies.
Charles Bronson was loading up rounds for his insane .475 wildey in death wish 3 I think it was.
Only the best for our friends.

The movie was pretty good, both my wife and I enjoyed it. The main male character wasn't a pretty boy, just a hard working fish & game officer. Female lead, an FBI agent clearly out of her element in the Wyoming mountains in winter, did not come across as typical FBI know it all. They worked together well, with her needing him badly. I won't say more in case anyone desires to see it.

The only gun related Hollywood touch was when the warden shot some bad guys with his Guide Gun, they were blown back 10 feet.

If anyone else sees it, I'd enjoy reading your review.

There was an episode of "Sons of Anarchy" where they found some native Americans were reloading and selling ammo out of an old bus.

In "Nevada Smith", Brian Keith is reloading in one scene. While teaching Steve McQueen the fast draw, he has McQueen pick up his brass in several scenes.

I suspect "Hollywood got it right" because the people who supply the guns and ammunition for the movies are probably avid reloaders themselves.

the opening scene of Jack Reacher has a dude trimming, sizing, weighing powder, seating bullets in .308. Good movie other than Tom Cruise being the star. LOL

One of my all time favorite movies and Burt Gummer is one of my favorite movie characters. I have a few frames of some of the original film used to shoot the movie.

Yup mine too. The wall of guns was really good. But if Burt would have really been shooting that 8 gauge with full power ammo the way he was holding it bad things would have happened.
I laugh my ass off every time I see that rec room scene as my pellot gun kicks more than any of the ones used.

I was watching one of those Alaska reality clone movies about 1 year ago. It was the one where there was an evil developer wanted to improve the town of Mc Carthy that he lived in, and sold everything the people needed because he owned the store. One of the quiz kids was reloading on a Lee press and said it was a Dillon. He cast his own 45 Colt bullets and did not size or lubricate them. But they shot PERFECTLY. So the evil gold mine and town developer did not have a strangle hold on him anymore----YEA-- RIGHT.
