OK, the blade is 5160 spring-steel. I made the blade by stock removal and ground the fullers in by hand using a 5/8" contact wheel on my 2x72 belt grinder. I drew the fullers in Sharpy marker and went to it. I don't use any jigs or fixtures for this, it's all freehand. Curved (or re-curved) fullers are a cast-iron bitch, but doing two of them on each side right on top of each other? I honestly wasn't sure that I could do it, but you have to push yourself now and again if you are going to progress.

Nice work.....as usual.....ho-hum.... :)

You know thinking you might actually have something like that across your belt line in back makes your choice of all those .32 revolvers much more understandable.

Wow!

I was impressed when I saw the photograph in the OP, but then when I read:

I don't use any jigs or fixtures for this, it's all freehand.

I was awestruck. You should be justifiably proud of this.

Damn, that’s a nice Khukuri. This winter, I plan to start making knives again and the Khukuri is at the top of my list but it won’t be as pretty as yours.
