The revolver or Semi auto. you absolutely won't add to your collection?

The Chiappa Rhino. For this single reason. When standard revolvers (firing cylinder and barrel at top of gun) blow up, it destroys the top strap and blows out the firing cylinder and sometimes some material from the 2 cylinders closest to it. More often than not, the user isn't seriously hurt. With the Chiappa Rhino, the firing cylinder is at the bottom, closest to your hand. When that thing blows up, you're going to majorly mess up your hand or lose it. As awesome as it looks, no thanks.

I expected to see some (misguided) snobbery towards Hi Points, but CZ surprises me. I don't really care what Europeans thing about my 75b; it's ergonomic, accurate, reliable, and I like mine.

Then again, I'll never own another Glock unless its a deal that I can flip and make some money on. Same with the Beretta Neos.

Sounds strange but probably anything in 45 ACP. If I came across a WWII or similarly historic 1911 for the right price maybe, but for what I use semi auto pistols for the 45 is largely a waste of money and capacity.

^ I wish it weren't the case but I prefer revolvers for the woods and love my hi power for carry and range time. Ever with reloading I can shoot 2-3x as much 9mm as I can 45.

Well you are a Hi-Power man, so I suppose you are forgiven...

I have a few more revolvers on my list but a Hi-Power is getting closer to the top every time Pops brings his to the range with me!

The triggers are a little weird but they point better than a 1911 for me and hold 2x the ammo. With a little tweaking they are excellent pistols.

I also don't think I'd own a Smith and Wesson with an internal lock unless it was a plinker like my model 63. I can't say I'm 100% certain because occasionally I'm tempted by an 8 shot Night Guard in 357 magnum or the model 327. If they made either with no lock it would go to the top of my list.

I doubt I'll ever own anything chambered in 40 S&W. If I want a big bullet I'll go 45, otherwise I will take the capacity of a 9mm.
Is the different that big of a difference in a .40,and .45 Cal's.? I know the 45 is more powerful, but how much more?

I will never buy a Glock or Beretta unless it’s for a fantastic price that I can immediately resell or trade at a profit. Actually, that goes for just about anything in black plastic.

Oh, and a Desert Eagle. Nothing against the gun, it’s just too big for my hands to get a proper grip.

You have no idea what you have done...

I suspect this thread turns... for the worse... :D

40 is a niche caliber imo.
It is really good at throwing heavier than 9mm rocks from a 9mm sized gun, although reduces capacity.

If you need a heavier rock (USPSA or other steel knock down games) then its for you, if not... well...

ETA: That said, I have a 40 and I use it for all my gun games.

Anything HK. Saved and bought a USP Tactical 45 for my 21st bday and it never worked right. What really irked me off the brand was that HK Customer Service was such snobs and refused to service it. IMO, my Glocks have been twice the pistols at half the cost of the German uber pistols.

Not a fan of Hi Point either.

Probably never own a Desert Eagle, if for no other reasons than there is already three of them in the family and I just don't see a practical use for a five pound handgun.

A 1911. Expensive and the capacity to weight ratio sucks.

Beretta anything. My dad's 92FS has the worst trigger I've ever felt on anything and the design in particular is everything a handgun shouldn't be--too big an complicated for the amount of firepower it offers, up-swept slide mounted safety sucks, and I loathe DA/SA autos in general, but esp those with no ability to be carried cocked and locked. You'd literally have to pay me to take a Beretta.

No 1911s. Two were enough. I don't like them, don't trust them, and if I got one for free, it would be on GB as soon as I could post it.
No Glocks.
No S&W revolvers with locks.
No S&W M&P pistols. So many other ones I like better.

I hear that removing the Mag disconnect helps with the trigger quite a bit. IDK.

Considerably better. I love shooting mine! Extremely accurate once you get used to the trigger, even with the mag release gone its pretty heavy for a single action.

No current interest in Glocks or anything with less than a 4" barrel.

Added in Edit Mode:

Although, after further thought, I'm currently such an anti-Glock fan, I might have to get one at some point to make sure I know what it's like to walk in a Glock owners shoes. :)

And, I suddenly recall really liking a short barrel New Vaquero with a Birdshead grip :)
