Have you ever thought that your bushing was just a little loose and you should install a new one ? I did and not being a real gunsmith I didn't know what I was getting into. I have a Ruger SR 1911 Commander,I ordered a Wilson match bushing. The description was that it needed minor fitting, well I would say major. All I had was some wet and dry sandpaper 320 grit and 400 grit.It was slow going but after working a couple of month's and wearing out a couple of fingers I finished .I now have to use a bushing wrench to remove the bushing and locks up like it should. After installation I test fired 105 rounds of ammo with out a failure. I don't think I'll ever do it again.If I do I'll get a gunsmith to do it !
