The cartridge seal totally went last week in my P-10 crosman. I thought the gun wasn't worth going through Crosman's customer service and paying shipping charges for a $29 gun. On-line I learned the trick of using Teflon tape across the tip of the cartridge. I also learned you can use a 5/16th"OD x 3/16"ID O ring to fix. I tried the Teflon tape trick first and it worked! I heard someone say that it's possible for a little piece of the tape could find it's way into the valve. I decided to try the O ring. It was a little to thick to allow for the cartridge to be pierced and was also a whisker too wide to seat correctly. I decided to try slipping the O ring over the neck of the cartridge and it worked. The package of 8 O rings was $2.47. The P-10 is alive and killing beer cans again. I'm still getting @ 80 good shots/cartridge although there's a barely perceptable hiss if you put your ear to the cartridge. I'm going to oil the O ring better next time and maybe try two. Most of you guys probably already knew these tricks but I thought I'd share them. I've got to empty some more targets tonight, this one's had it.
