Having to trade my coyote lite for an even lighter rifle, my old back can't take the strain of lifting it out of the passenger side and out of the window when I am lamping foxes. Made a deal on a tikka T3x lite in 22.250 which is a lot lighter and shorter than the winchester. If it shoots as well as the coyote I will be well pleased! keeping my coyote lite in .243 as I use a stick and only use it for stalking roe deer. Old age is getting to be a pain in the arse.:(:(:(

You will love your Tikka. Just plan on it shooting at least as good as the Winchester. And probably better.

Let us know how the Tikka shoots. I've had another old age problem. I've had a tremor all my life that is slightly worse with age. I do better with heavier guns and just bought a Remington 700 CDL .243 which weighs a bit over 7 lbs; with a scope it'll be about 8.5 lbs. But, I would like to trty a Tikka one of these days. Tom

Out of the window and lamps would get you arrested in most places in North America. Anyway, 'lighter and shorter' also increases the felt recoil which is bad for old backs.
And the arse isn't the only place it hurts. Mind you, if it hurts, you can tell you're still alive. snicker.

I have two tikka t3,s, a SS .223 and a blue 223. I have not shot the SS .223, but the blue one is a tack driver with a 4x12 leupold scope and 25grs benchmark-55gr v-max. 5 shot 1/2"-3/4" groups at 100 yards. eastbank.

Brass arrived today, having to change over to using Reloader15 as Varget will be banned here shortly! Going to use 55g Hornadys and try a few loads that I used pre-Varget, hopefully one of them should do the business..
