bushnell tr-25 battery life

give or take if left on at max a day or two is about it.....I do this alot actually.
Ive left mine on at 1 by accident for at least a week or so, only noticed when i brought the gun out to play with one evening, and it didnt seem to have lost much power......Course i went shooting the next day and left it on at 5 or 6, the next week it was pretty shot.

I have left a TRS-25 on continuously on 2, (good enough for night time use), for 4 months without issue. Factory battery sounds like a pile of junk.

my standard practice is if i have a electronic sight on a gun, especially a long arm, ill have some form of irons. Far too many times ive gotten to the range, and found my battery dead from being left on.

I keep a 4 pack of the flat 2032 batteries in the range bag and another in the rifle case, as they are cheap enough.

Read the user manual. The TRS-25 is advertised to have a battery life of approximately 3,000 hours when used on medium settings. Running on low-intensity, indoor settings, users have reported that the battery life significantly increased up to 6,000 hours (250 days).

I forgot mine on, maybe setting 3 or 4, for about a week once. Other than that it has been turned on a half hour at a time, probably once a month on average, for about three years now. Still going strong.

I'd guess that the factory got a hold of a bad battery. Even new off-the-shelf batteries can be junk.

The last nice flashlight that I bought I almost returned due to bad battery life. It came without batteries, but I put a brand new, name brand, recently purchased locally, cr123 in it and it was dead in no time. I never even used the high settings. The other battery in the package, same thing, dead in a few days. So now I am disappointed enough in my expensive flashlight to write a negative review on Amazon.

However, I eventually got around to buying some more batteries and giving it another go. These ones last for months. I had to go back and change my product review.

Factory batteries often seem to be the cheapest and oldest in a manufacturer's inventory that still have near the proper voltage level in them. I've come to expect none of them to last as long as a fresh battery I buy at the store.

like chicharrones said they probably source the cheapest possible batterys to begin with and no telling how old it was when you bought it new. Buy a new energizer ect and see how that lasts before you judge.

I put one on my 22/45 four years ago. I turn it on for a couple of hours perhaps 2-3 times per week. The dot is still bright and clear.

I truthfully chunk factory batteries when installing new optics. They are for the most part junk. Anything to save a dime; I swear. Left on high will certainly tax a battery. I know there's fancier ones out there (according to the internet), however, I'm a Duracell kind of guy. One of the better products to come from the Philippines.
