With several new and interesting, sometimes "they did what?" firearms and firearm variants being introduced by Ruger in the last few years: what do you think is next?

I am guessing we see another GP100 variant: a 5 shot 5 inch 10mm.

Others guesses?

There are no immediate one-offs that jump to mind (eg 7.62x39 American). I bet if anything, we might end up with something new.

Maybe a 10mm carbine? People have been clamoring for those for a while now.

I don't think Ruger would do it, but a 9mm/.40/.45 pistol caliber carbine that takes magazines up the pistol grip would be awesome. A direct competitor to the Beretta CX4 Storm. It would be short without being a bull pup and it would share fully protected pistol magazines with an SR or American.

If I remember correctly many years ago Ruger had a prototype submachine gun called the MP9 and it had a pistol grip mag well as part of it's design. Maybe it's possible to update that gun into a closed bolt, 16" barrel, semiauto only carbine (while using Ruger pistol mags), and save some money on development costs. Offer it in 9mm., .40, 10mm., and .45; I bet there would be a ready market for something like that.

Realistically, probably an American rifle in .223 that takes Mini mags. A longer-barreled .357 Redhawk is also likely.

This is VERY unlikely, but it would be great to have a Ruger No. 1 as a handgun. It would be great for silhouette shooting.

Ruger should bring back their ol' .44 semi-auto carbine(maybe also in .357) or their lever action carbines, especially in the handgun calibers like .357, .44 and .45 colt. These would pair nicely with the handguns they already make.

Based on the SRH chambering in 10mm................................ A SRH in 22 lr.

Hmmm. Maybe a 2" SP101 Match Champion too, or a 1.87 inch LCR Match Champion.

OH! How about a SP101 with an 8" inch barrel?!?!?

I like Ruger guns but some of their offerings just make little sense to me.

Give me a small semi auto 22 mag with 10 plus rounds.... smaller then my 938... That would be very comforting backup...

It seems like Ruger has been on a bit of a 10mm kick lately, judging by their releases of a 1911 and SRH in that caliber. Perhaps they will introduce an American pistol in 10mm? It could be a good competitor to the Glock 20/40.

That would be interesting. Glock is the only game in town for a hi-cap 10mm pistol, and has been for a long, long time. I could see Ruger challenging them on that.

I also hope for a variation of a Pistol Caliber Carbine. 10/22 on steroids like the old police/camp carbines or deer slayer 44 mag... as others have said above

Actually Grand Power and EAA to name two are also in the game. And there are more than those, they were the first to come to mind.
