Game changer? .44 power with .40 S&W recoil + 16 round capacity.

That doesn't sound anywhere close to reasonable. Where did you hear that number?

I would have to see that to believe it. Either my memory is way off (which is entirely possible), or that would have to be a red pill deluxe and then some.
sure it can be done, but at 35K PSI? EEK. Reminds me of 40 Super.

9x25 Dillon from a G40 with an RMR; thats the route I would take. "Regular" stuff can be hard enough to get, and the BRNO may be really limited by that, kinda how I think of the .50 GI. Very cool and would love to have one, but I dont see it changing any game unless the ammunition and components can be had relatively easily.

Power, maybe.
Still possibly without the speed, and definitely without the bullet length, to create tumbling wounds and (possibly) hydrostatic shock, and it doesn't make as big a hole.
Lacking those, a bigger hole is what's needed.
Unless it takes off with the competition shooters. Nothing compares to just plain fun.

I personally have no need for a pistol cartridge like that. Even if they were able to scale the size of the gun down, that much penetration would be a liability as far as I'm concerned. Shoot one, goes through and shoots another unintended.

Noise. People complain about the sound levels the 7.62x25 makes, I can only assume this will be louder. Even as a military cartridge, do we really want a plethora of deaf soldiers?

Thanks, but no thanks.

Neat, but I've never been one for the fast light bullets over heavier ones for anything but long distance.

Especially for a carry/woods gun and also ... ouch, ears.

I think if I wanted to go that route a .40 Super would be my plan.

.

Believe me, we already do. The VA asked me. "When did you first notice your hearing loss?"

"When I crawled out of the wreckage of my command track."

I was going to chime in with the price, but looks like somebody beat me to it. Also in one of the videos, IIRC, there was mentioned the first year run of these there would only be a 1001 pistols made.

Some have talked about the noise these will make. If you've ever heard the 7.62 tok round or say the 30 carbine out of a Ruger Blackhawk! Geez, I can only imagine the high pitched sonic crack this thing will make. Without ear protection, no way.

Not in my mind.

Just another entrant on the "light, fast bullet" side of an argument that has remained unresolved for at least the last century and shows no signs of ending any time soon.

No significant market for it. Agencies are running away from the .40S&W because it has "too much recoil" and modern "magic bullet" designs make 9mm "as good as" .45ACP.
