A friend modded his 10-22. He gave me the barrel and stock. 2 years later a new guy at work was telling me about his cousin dropping his off a four-wheeler and breaking the stock. I was able to make his day by passing it along.

Good play! I have failed to find another activity that I participate in that has a more generous cross section of participants. If all others treated their fellow humans as the gun community collectively does then the world would be a heck of a lot better.

That is because we are all equal in that fact that we want others to enjoy the fun as much as we do. There is nothing like seeing a first time shooter hit tannerite floating in a pond. I also feel that God has blessed me in my life and the more I help people, the more blessed I feel.
 
Shooting at water is dangerous and irresponsible. You own that bullet, no matter which way it ricochets.
I use vmax bullets that break apart. I do agree with you if I was using fmj or hunting bullets. I also live way out in the sticks.
