Thankful he stayed out of the windshield. Be careful folks, I glanced away from the road for all of half a second, talk about perfect timing. wish I had a picture of him but he was gone by the time i turned around to look for him, big boy with a nice rack.
Appreciate it, I'll have to look that up. For a while I was really chapped about the truck, but the reality set in that my Son and Myself are safe. Insurance will fix the truck and we drove home in one piece with with one more adventure under our belt.Ever here the song "Second week of deercamp?" Ya, been there, done that, glad no one was hurt!
I think that hawk was defending a kill. Ive seen it before. I was quail hunting and saw a hawk acting similarly to your pic. The bird dog approached him and he rolled onto his back, baring his talons at the dog, and revealing a half-plucked quail! We had five deer drives today . On the second drive I had a 4pt buck and doe run by within 15 feet of me and I passed on him . On the third drive I had two doe's run within 10 feet of me and on the last drive I had a turkey run within 40 yards of me before she saw me .
Then when I was leaving I saw this Red Tailed Hawk , I think it must have been injured .
