That is a very nice 1710! The coloring of the wood on the right side of the butt stock is simply stunning.

Here's a pair from days gone by: A Springfield M22 in original unaltered condition and another M22 customized and restocked by Griffin & Howe.. DSC_0034.JPG They also deflowered it somewhat by chambering to .22 Hornet. (Is that cheating?)

If it shoots as good as it looks it looks like a winner!!
I've only had that one about three weeks now, and have shot only one box of good ammo thru it. So far, the results are promising. Nine, five round groups at 50 yards, using Eley Match (black box). Hopefully I can do better with more trigger time.

farmerboy78 is right. UM22 is really good, *however* it has not been working for me lately. It used to be my go-to ammo in 2012 and 13. Now I shoot Eley Black at speeds that my rifle likes. You can't buy UM22 by speed of the lot, so that's a big drawback.

Ultra Match is the best deal in town for match ammo right now. Less than 9 bucks a box is hard to beat if your rifles like it. My 40x guns shoot great with it.

I've got several boxes of Ultra Match in the safe. I'll give it a try when the weather gets better. Thanks for the tips, fellas!

I have often heard it is loaded by RWS and is the same ammo as R-50.....I have had some with a very small R-50 printed in and end flap.

Yes RWS R-50 and UM22 are basically the same ammo. RWS makes the ammo under contract for Federal.

Here's my Kimber K22 Classic Select. The lighting wasn't that good this past weekend but I tried to do the rifle some justice in the late afternoon sun. I'm hoping to add a Leupold scope in 2018.
Nicely done,creative photos.

MCMXI, very nice Kimber K22. It's a shame there aren't more Kimbers represented in this thread.

Anschutz 1422 from 1982. Anschutz rifles from this era are known for quite plain wood, and this one is as plain or more so than most. But the workmanship on the rifle is superb, with deep, rich bluing, great metal-to-wood fit, and surprisingly good offhand shooting ergonomics despite the funky Germanic styling of the stock. And it, too, is a small (very small) game hunting rifle with a one-shot, 50 yard, house fly-killing shot to its credit.
