It's been some time since I've posted any new acquisitions. I've been lazy about pictures and such. Anyway, here are a couple of Star pistols that I bought within the past six months or so. I have owned a full-sized Star Super B 9mm for several years now and like it very much, so I bought the slightly smaller BM model when the prices got too low to resist. I bought the 25acp model CO because I didn't have a nice, well-made pistol in that caliber.
The Model CO in 25acp looks and feels like a good pistol. It's steel. The fit and finish are good. The trigger is decent. I can't shoot it worth squat, but that's probably my fault. It's a nice little pistol. Compared to the junk pistols in that caliber, it's a work of art. My Beretttas are nicer, but it feels like quality work.

The 9mm BM is shorter in the barrel, and I believe in the grip as well, compared to its larger "cousin", the Super B. The Super B has a breech that locks like a Browning High Power. The BM locks up like a 1911. Other than the size difference, they feel very similar. They are both heavy and have larger than tiny sights. This pistol shot well for me. I like it every bit as much as I do the Super B.
You might as well see the Super B, too. I bought it a few years ago for a little over $200. It's a very nice pistol. Everyone who shoots it likes it. After owning it for a while, I was happy to come across a couple more Star pistols that were in good condition and relatively inexpensive.
If I recall correctly, the 25 was made in the 50's, and the two 9mm's were both made in the 70's.
