Does anyone here have basic info on this Hornady bullet for a 22 Hornet?
Can't find any info on o.a.l for this Hornady 35 grain .223 let alone powder & loads.
H110 & iMR3031 are in my previous 35 grain loads. These were bought for me as
a gift knowing 35 grain V-Max is the only round that will function in my CZ they got
me these thinking there was no difference & I like their boat tail yet the o.a.l. will
probably be too long for the CZ 22 Hornet clip fed 527 American 22" barrel.
The inside length of the clip won't allow standard book length reloads on most
bullets.
I will post a question here later about anyone else having the o.a.l problem with
this rifle, but I wouldn't trade it for anything else. It's beautiful & accurate as heck.

This probably sounds silly but have you tried emailing Hornady?
Worst case they will tell you to buy their manual which may or may not have data for the lead free NTX, best case is they will help you out.
I would mention that you had been loading the V Maxs, never hurts to butter them up:)

IMR3031 will not give satisfactory results in the .22Hornet.
H110 will.
You're over thinking it.
Seat the bullets to a satisfactory oal to fit your magazine. The Hornet has a nice long neck. Just don't compress the powder charge. Not likely with a 35gr bullet in the Hornet.
Use a starting load for a 35gr bullet for the .22Hornet.
I suggest 10.0gr start, max of 12.0
My 8th edition Hornady gives a start of 9.9gr, max of 12.3 for 35gr Vmax. The 35 Vmax has a blount profile and longer bearing surface than the NTX so it's pressures will run higher. I've had excellent results with H110 under the 40gr Nosler Ballistic Tip which has similar geometry to the 35 NTX.

But I've only been loading the .22Hornet for 42yrs, so what do I know?

When you run out of the NTX, go to ammosupplywharehouse.com They are the retail site for Armscor ammunition. They sell the 40gr JHP for the .22TCM FOR $6.99/100. Buy 1,000! I bought some from Grafs when they had them in stock. I'm using them in a .218Bee as well as the Hornet. Perfection.
When you run out of H110, get some Hodgdon Lil'Gun.

It is the same powder. But DIFFERENT lot#s.
Hence the ancient admonition to rework a load up anytime a change in components occurs. That includes lot# on the powder.

A number of powders have been pulled from the market due to significant fluctuations in lot-to-lot specifications/burn rate. Norma 205 is the first I became aware of back in the early '80's. Most recently IMR4007.

Notice, the data I quoted was from the 8th edition, rifle section. Yours is from unspecified handgun data. Again, typical fluctuation.

Added; back in the early '90's I had a Ruger M77/22Hornet Carbine. It had a grotesque chamber that only superficially resembled a .22 Hornet. It would take, and was most accurate (but not very!) with 13.4gr of H110 for about 3,100fps.

Same load in my now 20yr old M77/22Hornet KBZ (heavy s/s 24"bbl w/laminated stock) would flatten and crater primers, and flow brass into extractor cut. Chrono'd over 3,400fps. I shudder to speculate pressure. I fired the one round. Pulled down the rest. Same everything except rifle... newer rifle has minimum chamber.
Note the only ~2.5gr difference between start and maximum. But FAR more than the typical suggested 5% maximum reduction from maximum charges typically given in Hodgdons manuals for H110/Win296.
Like I said, I only have 42yrs of experience loading the Hornet...
If it's possible, I've probably done it with the Hornet. Primers with air rifle pellets to compressed loads of BP or BP replacements, cast bullets, and a number of things that don't work...
I've even given thought to having a S&W revolver converted to shoot the Hornet. Nah, I'll keep it in .357mag.

I just went there and saw no bullets or components for sale just loaded ammo. Got a direct link?

I would contact Hornady and ask them. The data for the 35gr V Max is probably different than for a lead free bullet. The current Hornady manual doesn't have data for the NTX bullet, only the V Max bullet posted above.
