Mini Mauser Parts Needed

A couple of things to try. Remington imported the Zastava for a while, search for Remington 799 parts as well as Zastava on Gunparts (Numrich).
CZ makes a similar model currently, their parts might fit or could be modified to work.
A long shot could be the small action Sako parts. Out of production for years but some parts might be out there.

CZ and Zastavas are 2 different animals. I have 2 CZs and had a Zastava (Rem 799 or798) the extractor broke on the Zastava and at that time no parts available. Dont know who imports Zastava now but they would be the go to guys for parts.

Sarco may have some parts. They obtained a lot of parts when Interarmco went out of business

You might try eaa. This thread from 7 years ago told how to get one http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?93866-Remington-799-Extractor-Replacement

I believe you can make one for a SAKO Vixen L461 fit as well. Other guys are making them.

"I made mine from 5/16" 01 square stock.

I fortunately had a broken extractor to work from and I cut everything on the underside of the extractor first. When all was to my satisfaction I used a jewelers saw to cut it free from the rest of the stock. I then filed and hand finished the top side of the extractor. I inverted it in the mill vice and used a small dovetail cutter to taper the back edges that slide into the bolt.

Once it was done it was give a very slight bend and heatreated to 45 RC.

The only hard part, if you want to call it that, was making a small hollow spot facing mill to machine the integral pin on the underside that fits the hole in the bolt.

It's been working for years now with no problems at all"

I have a 223 mini mauser, and I like it, but it taught me a lesson: don't buy a gun that doesn't have a reliable importer with a supply of parts

Greyling,
Thanks for the guidance. I am learning the same import lesson.
Good shooting,DH

I had a Remington 799 7.62x39 Mini Mauser and extractor chipped after 50 rnds. Remington directed me to EAA, if I remember correctly, for the repair and I still had to pay for the extractor even though it was less than a year and should be under warranty. I wanted to buy 2 but they only sold me one and said inventory is low. I learned the extractor is the weak link and hard to find, sold the rifle when I got it fixed. I heard Sako extractor works, but I don't have experience.

The Sako extractor that might fit is rarer than the Zastava extractor. I tried to find one with little success and that was 5 maybe 6 years ago.
