Do you CC everywhere?

The only time I am not carrying is at work. Which is fine by me, wouldn't want to carry there anyway. Pants on, gun on.

Everywhere where lawful (including at home) except during work hours. While not unlawful for me to carry while working, the nature of my job in EMS does have me in GFZs from time to time, such as the county jail and the psychiatric hospitals. I carry to and from work, but not once on duty.

I pick up my daughter from school twice a week (working the other three.) That, of course, is a GFZ, and the only one I typically enter in any given year while not on duty. Maybe once a year, I might walk into the self-service portion of a post-office, but I can't remember the last time I was off duty and in any other GFZ here in Florida.

I rarely carry in my daily life, though I have a permit. My office has a no-firearms policy. As a lawyer, I spend a fair amount of time going in and out of government buildings where they are legally prohibited and (fairly) effectively screened-for. Trying to carry every day would mean lots of strapping/unstrapping in public and semi-private areas, and lots of leaving a gun in a parked car in unsecured areas.

There are certainly times I do exercise my right to carry, but a lot of the time it is more trouble than what I assess my person risk justifies.

Everywhere legal....except in my own state ...

Why don't you carry where it's legal in your own state? Is it because you just don't want to avoid the political-climate hassle there? Or are there so many prohibited places as to make arming yourself in those few good-to-go places impractical?

Anywhere that there isn't a metal detector.

Ah man, I have no wish to start an argument, and I’m not putting you down, but I’m just not sure that’s a good idea. The wife and I had to go to the university book store a few days ago to pick up a requested (birthday gift) book for our oldest grandson. The state university is only about 25 miles from here.

Anyway, we went to the bookstore, found the book, paid for it, and left without a problem. It wasn’t until we got back out to the truck that I remembered we were both carrying. That scared the crap out of me. If someone in the Student Union Building (where the university book store is located) would have noticed we were carrying, we could have been arrested at the very least. For the most part, Idaho is a “constitutional carry” state, but legal, on-campus carry in Idaho requires an Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry permit. So we were clearly breaking the law.

I don’t like it, but that’s the way it is. And as I said, I’m just not sure it’s a good idea to break the law even though the wife and I got away with it once because there were no metal detectors at the door of the on-campus Student Union Building.

To answer the OP’s question though – yeah, both my wife and I carry everywhere it’s legal. That even includes church.

If my pants are on my gun is on. Sig P938 is so comfortable to carry it’s just always there.

L.E.O.S.A ) Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act) First signed by bush and than also signed by O'Bama is the law that gives all Law enforcement officers active or retired the right to carry everywhere an officer can. We have no powers of arrest but have the right to protect our self and the life others if the need arises and allowed to use deadly force. We are required to complete the police departments combat course every year. I carry all the time In the winter I carry my Glock .40 in the summer I have a small S&W .40 I put in my pocket

When I get dressed in the morning my gun goes from the night table to my holster and reverses at bedtime. I put it in a gun safe at hospitals or taking the kids to the library. Anywhere my gun isn’t welcome neither am i( except listed).

After spending thousands of dollars on handguns and thousands more on training, I'd hate to have that go to waste.

I can't carry at work, and I don't have a good way to secure it in my car. Car break-ins are a serious threat at my workplace. It's also a long drive, so any shopping or anything I have to do gets done on the way there or back.

I don't really do a lot of carrying.
