at a gun show this past weekend in a knife dealer’s “two for $5” bin. Most things there were Chinese garbage, but this stood out when I saw the Leatherman logo on it.
Looked at Leatherman’s site, it’s a Crater C33 model and the steel is 420HC stainless, which is what Buck uses in many of their knives. Nice matte finish on the thumb stud opening combo blade, and usual quality Leatherman tight feel to it. Has a carabiner that folds out and does double duty as a bottle opener. Strong pocket clip, removable, but not changeable to another position. Extra points that it was “born in the USA”.
Weighs 2.3 oz., blade is 2.6”, comes with Leathermans 25 year guarantee.
I think it would make a nice EDC even for it’s $22 MSRP, used for $2.50 I’m thinking I did OK.
