I purchased a RIA GI 45 acp new quite some time ago, I took it to the range and put the first magazine full ( 7 rounds ) into the 9-10 ring at 25 yards off hand. Needless to say I was very pleased.
It has become one of my favorites and I have no problems with it.

Don't own one but worked on one for a friend of mine. I was very impressed with the overall quality and fit and finish of the gun when I had it disassembled. I added a beavertail grip safety, a new hammer, an extended slide stop lever and an extended thumb safety. I needed to do a little filing as the internal tolerances were very tight. The gun was a real tack driver.

Had a .45acp mid-size (Commander) that was really nice, reliable, accurate. I’m still sorry I traded it away.
Currently have a .22TCM/9mm mid-size double-stack that I will NOT trade away. It’s well-made and a fine shooter in either caliber.

I had an opportunity to contact CS on the .45 and was served well: gave me the background history of the firearm (import date, original configuration) and assisted me with a broken recoil spring plug at no charge.
I would not hesitate to buy another RIA. Are there nicer, better 1911s? Yes. But—RIAs are well-made and a really good value.

Had 4 full size and one CS. I now have 2 FS and the one CS. Only one had issues. I find them to be good and cost effective. Would not hesitate to purchase another or recommend.

I used two RIA / Armscor frames in building up GI clones. The frames follow GI specs except for the chamfered mag well. (Most people would consider that an improvement.)

I have an old Chuck Daly Commander size that has been a champ. I also have a couple of full size models, one in bi-tone and they have been excellent pieces. The only thing I have changed on one is the grips. I bought it at the local gun/pawn shop and the previous owner had attempted to install a set of grips that just did not fit a full size model. I have found the RIA's to be great weapons.

I have a railed 45acp (2011) and a 9x19 fs tactical (i think is what they call it)

The 45acp has ran great and shoots very good. Had one FTF with my brother shooting it which couldve been induced by him. The 9mm has ran perfect and is a honest to goodness tack driver. Very accurate with cheap bulk ammo.

The grips that come on their entry level guns are not for me and i like dot sights so 1st thing i did was put some better looking checkered grips on and used my cut toothpick and fingernail polish sight job and have been very satisfied since. The 45acp came with a set of checkered and Hogue wrap around grips and night sights.

Very good guns and wouldnt hesitate to spend my hard earned money on another.

I have two and am a bit conflicted about them. One is a 9mm that had a problem immediately upon shooting. As in, one shot. I spent a month trying to contact Armscor both by phone and email. All I ever got was "so and so is away from his desk. Please leave a message" and when I tried to I got "voicemail is full". With email I got "inbox is full". I gave up, purchased the part that was causing the problem, and changed it myself. I like to shoot lead loads and it is not particularly accurate.

Just recently I purchased a Baby Rock 380 and it's a very nice, trouble free, little gun but it is also not very accurate with lead loads.

After slugging the barrels I've found both to have oversized barrels. My current plan is to load some some 38 special bullets which will give me a correct barrel fit. I have the bullets cast and powder coated. A bad case of the flu has put a crimp in my plans but if and when I get going again I will continue with my little experiment.

I plan on keeping these pistols but that's probably it for my RIA ownership.

I have a Citadel 1911 .45 (Made by RIA)
It shoots well and has been reliable.
Not a pretty gun but then that's not real high on my list for shooters.

S'funny ... when I bought my RIA ($290) one of my reasons was that if it dropped in the creek while I was traipsing around the farm, it being a not-great-looking/shooting cheapo, it would not be the catastrophe that dropping one of my nice pistols (like my real 1911A1) would be ... but it turned out to be both a fine-shooter and a fine-looker, so only the value/cost-aspect remains of that initial Plan. :)

I have a tactical in 10mm and it's fine. Reliable and accurate, good woods gun for me.

Do I wish it was a Dan Wesson (or even a Ruger)... yeah, I do.

Had a five inch with the better sights, funneled mag well, burr hammer and adjustable trigger but don't know what it was called. Do know that with most of my loads it equalled or beat my Kimber Pro Carry. Fed everything including my 255 grain Keith buffalo busters.
A buddy wanted it more than I needed it, so.....

Might have been the RIA Match. That was my first Rock. Their Cadillac. Hand fit and all that good stuff.
