Have yet to see one up close and personal yet!
Yeppers went to basspro.monday..first day of the sale..i walked in when they opened the store...i walked up to the counter.took a number.. and waited for my number to be called...soi looked in the glass case, NO P365...THEY called my number..i said i want the sig.p365..i dont see any..they just came in yesterday.....so i said i'll take it...so i got mine...

I bought the Winchester white box. Ammo.took the New p365 out to the range...let me say this first.I have own other 9mm pistols..but sold them off..so its been a good while since i shot 9mm.I do shoot a tiny FEG 380..and lets say its not a range gun..
So i take the 380 and the Sig to the range..i take a box of 50 rounds each ... i load up the sig first..10 rounds..i use 2 hands.bang...im smacking steel plates at 25 yards..10 shots, 10 dings...but it sure is snappy...i shot the 50 rounds.fast.slow,fast and slow...it worked great..Did i ssy its snappy...WOW...
I COULDNT TAKE MORE..It was frickin cold out..wind blowing
...great sights.the front sight has the hallow.with nite sights rear has nite sites..lines up great..easy to get back on target..i had it out wed..Its still snappy..
My buddie shot it.feel in love with it..he couldnt get over how the sights popped..But again..it was cold wed.as well as the Sunday before..Shot 50 rounds.and 50 rounds of 380..
Trigger is really sweet..smooth. reset even lighter..
Not a long pull.

Thanks for the range report @280shooter. When you say snappy, I wonder if that is because you are used to the smaller .380?

Also, as I am sure you are aware, the smaller the gun, the more snappy they are as there is no mass to absorb the recoil. Since this is a small gun, and polymer at that, I am sure it will a bit snappier than a normal larger-sized 9mm.

So awesome that you got one, and it sounds like a great and accurate gun with great sights.

Congratulations!!!

I am on a list (#26) for $515 at my LGS. I stopped in yesterday to pick up some powder and I asked if they were getting any 365's in at all. They received 12 last week so some are being shipped. How often they get a shipment? No one knows for sure but at least I am moving up the ladder.

It came in on Friday along with 18 others and Sat. before work I ran a box of handloads. It exceeded every one of my expectations. At 30' the first mag had them all in the black of a standard 50' bullseye target with center of black hold. Had another shooter do the same. Fieldstrip after shooting showed no abrasion anywhere. Mine was a later version and came with x-ray sights. It fit in everyone of my Kahr PM9 holsters. More extensive testing to follow.

Let us know if you made a good decision. In other words, a little gun review if you don't mind....

Well.this little thing is very light..,But like i said when i took it out..it was only in the 30s..my hands were freezing..and the smacking into the web of my hand.after shooting that tiny feg.380.50 rounds in the cold was enough..
Years ago i had a s/w 39.9mm..wished i still had it.that was snappy.

Thank you,I pick it up tomorrow and I have a Kahr PM40 so I guess I will have holsters for it.

And of course I will buy a few more :)

She is in hand, and will T&E her tomorrow indoors with frangible ammo first.

Range does not allow ball or jacketed,so will try this first and then onto the rest.

Well holding my pistol.in hand in ready to shoot,my index finger goes right to the front of the slide...

Got the latest edition of American Rifleman yesterday, and the P365 was the cover story. So far, all of the recent reports seem to be pretty favorable.

That is a handsome devil of a gun isn't it.

How big are your hands?

My hands are between L and XL but my fingers are long so XL everything fits. The P365 has a slightly more rounded grip than the Shield or Kahr PM9. It gives me a chance to use the first joint of my trigger finger which I feel is the natural position for shooting under stress.
It will take some time learning how to retain your grip after firing each round. I find I shoot it best using a very firm grip with both my shooting and support hand. The tendency to re-grip with your support hand is something each individual will have to experience. I actually prefer to shoot this using gun strong hand or weak hand which is the only way I practice with my LCP II as I feel that will be the way it will probably be used in an emergency situation.

I do not find the recoil to be any better or worse than my LCP II or Kahr PM9 but I am not a recoil sensitive person. When first getting the gun I was concerned because my middle finger knuckle was very close to the trigger guard and "Glock knuckle" was something I thought a lot about. I have fired about 100 rounds in two sessions and had absolutely no soreness with my middle finger knuckle riding up against the trigger guard.

My thoughts on what this gun will do for me.
Out for a walk I pop my LCP II in my wallet holster.
Out with my wile, kids, or grandkids I want more capacity and power so I always carried my Sig M11A1 which was a bundle to say the least.

So far my P365 has proven itself totally trouble free and with the very the first mag I put ten in the black of a standard 50' bullseye target at 30', which sets up this one gun to cover my capacity issues and remove a lot of bulk and weight from my hip.
My 2¢
YMMV

"This gun is a G43 and G26 killer as well as every other single stack 9 killer."

JR,

Don't you just love responses to posts that do nothing to add any information to a thread and the poster acts as if they are rising above it all with their clever wit and lack of understanding what the word "nebulous" means?

VBA,

My post contained a description of my actual real experience and my opinion. While you might have used the word "subjective" to describe my opinion, you can't call my comment "nebulous" when in fact it was neither vague, imprecise, or confused.

Words mean things.

These boards would serve no purpose if at least some of us did not share our experience (real events) and opinions (subjective thoughts) on questions asked.

I responded to the responses that were painting the gun (rightfully) as having some initial teething pains. My new, updated gun has been perfect. So, my response is relevant to the direction the thread took.

NQ;

I'm saying your post stating the P365 is a G43, G26 and every other single stack 9 killer. Is vague and unclear because it is a statement of fact i.e., it is your opinion and most certainly does not apply to everyone. If started by saying "in my opinion..." it would have been more clear.

For me the P365 is too small (and I think untested) and I prefer the G26 and Walther PPS M2. This is not a statement of fact as it only applies to me.

I would add a few pics I took, but sorry that is beyond my ken .

The gun shot ok,not as good as I expected and I think that was due to the frangible ammo I was shooting on the indoor range I use.

I am looking forward to taking it outside to shoot some of the dozen or so HP's that I have for the 9MM.

I shot it alongside the Kimber Micro and the Kimber was a bit snappier = not so bad that its not a decent EDC,but more than a full size for sure.

The Sig was less so.

Well, it is a potential single-stack 9mm killer. Now there's no reason other than aesthetics, ergonomics, or legal requirements to settle for a single-stack subcompact 9mm when you can get one the exact same size and width with ten-round magazines. It isn't a single-stack 9mm killer yet, because it's not been out long enough to eat the competition.

I just thought a little bit ago how amazing it would be to have a P365 scaled up to a 4" barrel and cram 17-18 rounds into a pistol the length and height of a Glock 19 but only an inch thick. Oh man. Take my money, Sig.

To be completely honest, it's not the same size. The P365 has the thickness of Kel-Tec P-11, but Kel-Tec also sell PF-9 that is thinner still. And P365 is much larger than Kahr CM9. It's going to be the same thing as comparing G43 and G42. Some people foam at the mouth while claiming that they are about the same size and there's no point in carrying G42. Yet other people find that G43 does not fit into pockets where G42 fits comfortably. We're going to see a similar split opinion regarding P365 too.

Yeah, I think so. Subjectively mine feels the same size as my Shield, only a smidge thicker in the grip, which was actually more comfortable.
