There's something simply elegant about an 1860 with a shoulder stock...maybe not completely practical, but pleasing to the eye. On a stainless one even more so--but the temptation to see the stock's brass fittings silver plated is one thing I never anticipated! Beautiful!

Yeah, silver plated is a thought. This is probably the most beautiful gun of any kind that I own

Early on, I really wanted a shoulder stock for a Pietta 1851 Navy .36 just for its flair, but I have since gravitated away from it, especially because of the $300 price before shipping from Dixie. I can buy another gun for that money.

Your gun is very nice looking but I tend to go with blued/color case guns.

Everyone has their particular tastes. I am not downing you at all.
