Hey guys I had a question about a gun I recently traded for. Its a Hk usp compact in .357 sig. Its an excellent gun, very well made, love the caliber as well but not so much the cost of ammo. Ive read a few places where people take there .40 s&w and drop in a .357 sig barrel and it works. Does anybody know if it will work the opposite way? Can I get a .40 s&w factory barrel and drop it in my .357 sig model? I did try to look for this question but like I said its always people that have a .40 s&w model. Thanks in advance

With glocks and sig the barrels swap both ways so I’d imagine that Hk “should” be the same as 9mmepiphany stated, but one could only be sure by trying it or giving Hk customer service a call.

HK works the same, I have 357S and .40 barrels for my P2K.

HK Parts net has barrels in-stock:

New factory HK USP Compact .40 S&W barrel (3.58" overall barrel length). A drop in replacement barrel for all HK USPC .40 or .357 pistols. This is a great spare or replacement barrel. Also, a must if you want to convert your .357 USPC to .40 cal.

Although I'd check HK CS 1st, because they often have better prices.

I carry my P2K with the 357Sig barrel in and use the .40 barrel when there's a good chance I won't get my barrel back. From what I've seen the HKs in 357S command a higher price and I really like the caliber.

Thanks guys, I will def check with Hk first just to make sure. I looked at the Hk website on my phone but it was a pain to work for some reason. I figured it wouldnt be a problem because I always see people with glocks doing it. I also agree with the higher price for the .357 models. I cant even hardly find them on gunbroker.
