What varmint rifle are you guys shooting? Woodchucks, PD, coyotes. I like looking at gun .... so post up some pictures. :)

Currently for me is a basic Savage axis 2 223rem heavy barrel shooting 50-55gr Hornady V max reloads, Vortex crossfire 2 6-18-44 scope, Burris signature high rings. Longest kill to date was 270ish on a woodchuck prone off a bipod. Don't have a pic of it or i would post it.

Sig 516 Carbon TS w/ vortex Strikefire II red/green dot.

My primary one is this Kimber of Oregon .22 Hornet - bottom rifle.

I spend more time with this little .36 flintlock; small game AND varmints.

When I really need to reach out there it's either this Sav M99A (bottom) or my old Ruger M77. Both are in 250/3000. The M77 does under .5" and the M99 about an inch.

Savage Predator 10 in .243. EGW scope mounts, BSA 4x16 x40 scope, with a Burris FFII red dot for short range. Duracoated FDE and oversprayed with Krylon in a net pattern. My favorite load is 87gr Vmax handload. It's dynamite out to 300+ yards on coyotes and crows. A couple of hogs have been invited to the dinner table with this rifle also. ;)

I’ve used lots of different ones. I guess the one I have used most often lately is a contender rifle with a suppressor. I can open the door to the balcony, shoot the coyote around the chicken coop and not even wake up the wife downstairs.

For hogs this year I have been using my suppressed 458 socom with an Oasis thermal.

Yes -very good ID! I had to purchase the bottom metal from Savage; I am very happy with it.
I've been debating getting the exact stock for my savage but an unexpected repair this month stopped that.

Hey Bones741, what ammo do you put through the CZ and what groups do you get? Thinking about getting one. Got the 452 Trainer and it's a shooter.

I usually shoot whatever I can get my hands on beside steel case stuff when plinking. Im sure it would handle that no problem though. I use 55 grain Hornady softpoints for hunting because that's what I initially zerod it for and it shoots them well. It groups just about an inch at 100 yards with the Hornady. Never actually measured the groups but I'd say about the size of a quarter or less easily.

The Axis, not the .45's. Now it's this:

Traded the Axis and his old 870 to my son (shooting the AR) for his DPMS Sportical. It's also my new deer gun.

Enjoy the Sportical. As you probably already know they can take a licking. My son has one as his primary hog rifle and it has never failed him.
