Handgun Pictures

I picked up this Ruger MKII, 10” bull barrel back in the late 80’s for $125. It was a beater with a lot of the finish gone. But it shot like a champ.
I was working with an old Gunsmith dark then and learning how to hot blue guns. It was the first gun I did a mat blue finish on. That was in 1988. When my eyes were better, I used it for squirrel hunting.

I have found that if you take your pics outdoors in nature light, they tend to come out better.
I like the grips on you gun.

ancientnoob,

Well you just answered the "It's 1940 and what do you ccw?" thread......

That is verinice. What are those grips? some sort of stag? Giraffe leg bone?

In 1940 that would have been great in a leather shoulder holster under a suit jacket for trips to town, church, and such. Shoot I would be a great BBQ gun to day in a OWB leather holster.

Thanks for sharing.

Mister Noisy

I used to carry my guns to the range using an old briefcase like the one you have. I liked it because it was an inconspicuous and handy way to take your guns, targets, and accessories to the range. Like your customization with the cut-out foam insert.
