If you have shot a CZ Tactical Sport.....a question about the sights

I see the sights are fixed on this pistol. I understand they can be moved with a sight pusher.

My question is: If you have shot this pistol, can you tell me how well or badly the sights were set out of the box. Are the sights generally just slapped on and need adjusting or do they generally come adjusted for shooting at 25 yards...?

Thanks for any feedback.

Not mine, but a friend just bought one 3 weeks ago. He reports a very sweet, soft-shooting pistol, no need to adjust the sights out of the box.

Thanks. Did he say if they were setup like combat cover the dot or more like a pumpkin on post?

I have read a number of times that the trigger on this gun is very light. Seems like a good gun for target shooting. Personally, I prefer adjustable sights for a target gun and since I have read the TS fixed sight is a tough one to replace at home I wondered how the gun came sighted.

My sights required no adjustment. A friend has the identical pistol. I don't believe his required adjustment. Curiously, his front blade is not as wide as mine. I prefer his thinner front blade. Both guns have been great for many years.

Just off the top of my head here are some of the variables that affect the
point of impact with any handgun:
1. Type of grip on the gun
2. Size of the grip versus the shooter's hand (affects both trigger
pull dynamics and the ability of the shoot to control the during recoil)
3. Tightness of grip by the shooter
4. Texture of the grip
5. Ammunition being fired (weight and construction of the bullet, velocity,
Bullet size/barrel diameter compatibility, temperature of the ammunition
when fired)
6. How fired - one handed, two handed, off a rest
7. Barrel/slide fitment (for semi-automatics pistols)
8. The reflection of bright sunlight hitting the sights when shooting outdoors

I'm sure there are many other variables. The only way to tell is to shoot
the gun with different ammunition.

FWIW, new in box CZs come with sample targets fired at the factory.
with standard European ammunition. I doubt if any leave with badly
adjusted sights.
