It finally hit me-there is a tiny Hole for the cable insertion. Embarassing. :)

The car will be in an airport hotel parking lot for two weeks during a trip. This box was bought at the local Shoot Point Blank range and is my first secure storage for a car.

The 'vault' is always hidden in the covered console, with the thin black cable (attached to seat frame) covered by something whenever the car is parked.

Well, two weeks' worth of cooling/warm moist air at ATL Airport could easily cause internal corrosion, even with enough external oil?
Considering whether a nice bag of silica dessiccant could compensate for ambient air in the box when first locked shut along with tiny bit which enters the cable's hole.
