Recently bought a Nano and without a doubt this will be my CCW 9mm for a long time coming. I have been researching holsters like crazy. I am will to spend top dollar for a good holster. But so many choices just could not or have not decided.
So what to do? I have always admired the Mitch Rosen Holster for my LC9S but alas they do not make one for the Nano. I wanted a temporary Holster cheap cost. I paid $$44.00 for this holster "Azula" have have to say I have been very impressed of the quality. It rides very close to the body, is on the high rise side. And by all observations will last for a very long time. Thicker than the Mitch and a heavy duty top strap. Not shown is the Azula Back Strap which the Mitch Rosen does not have. Actually like this strap better and it should be a big help in Summer.

Thanks Jeb!
What a timely post.
I have been considering a new Azula from ebay for my Python. The only holster i have for it is one i made. It might be my Sunday/bbq gun if i had a nicer owb holster for it.

The Nano and Azula is on the left. Hence the top strap of the holster. (The extra leather re-enforcement going across the top of the holster) You can go to Ebay and it will show storefront for different holsters for different guns.

Farmer, I am just guessing here. But a heavy rugged gun like your Colt, would need a heavy duty Holster. If the quality of this holster is the same as the one I purchased, I would say it might be a ideal choice, especially if carrying for hunting etc.
Ps. I envy you. Would love to own that Colt!!!!!!

been eyeing the azula for a large frame auto. got a picture of the backside of the holster?

Kind of hate to say it, but the Azula actually seems better quality. At least more rugged. The Mitch Rosen is thinner, maybe that is Good for CCW, although I cannot feel any difference when I carry. The Azula is made in S. Africa.

Thanks for the pictures! That’s a nice holster. I seem only to run into thumb break units, where i want an open top... you’ve strengthened my resolve to keep up the search!

The new holster and belt arrived quickly from Azula. I am quite pleased with the whole pkg. The leather is thick and well finished. Belt and matching owb holster for my Python.
I ordered the belt one size larger than my normal belt size. It goes over my jeans and belt. The extra length will be good when carrying my iwb guns too.
Thanks again Jeb Stuart for the timely "heads-up"!

That is a really nice looking rig Farmer, Love that belt as well. Glad things worked out. Enjoying my Azula as well. Seems to be on the best deals out there. You love to spend some time with that mighty fine revolver.

Aw yeah! I ordered one for my 4” k frame.

Today, the day after i ordered, they called me just to make sure they get the right one in the box. Said they’d ship today. Can’t wait. Awesome!

Thats actually a sweat guard, it also avoids clothing interference of draw and reholstering . When they are done right, and this looks very good as you cannot see it from outside , they work extremely well for everyday concealment

I too have been experimenting with inexpensive older holsters I've found on e bay in the past couple months and have been pleased with what I've found. If I'm destined to end up with a drawer full, I'd rather they not be $100 holsters collecting dust. OP, thanks for the tip on Azula.

Off topic (sorry for the thread drift), could anyone please explain why exposed trigger designs are so popular on revolver holsters? For a little while it was all i could find, and I would prefer not to have an exposed trigger.

I’m not bashing at all. Just want to understand bc it seems as though covering a trigger in field conditions or in concealed carry conditions is something you’d really want.
