I'm an experienced hand loader, but new to the 300 BO caliber. I have read reviews from hog hunting magazines that Remington's Hog Hammer ammo is pretty good stuff on feral hogs, so I bought some of the TTSX 130 gr pills.

I'll be shooting at 100 yards max, and typically I set my blinds/stands so I will be averaging shots of 75 yards. Can anyone suggest a powder and charge weight to get me started for load development testing?

Thanks!

H110 and Lil'gun work real well in 300 Blackout. Hodgdon also has a relatively new powder specifically formulated for 300 Blackout called CFE BLK.

Hodgdons website has an awesome reloading data base with a fairly large variety of 300 Blackout loads to look at.

accurate 1680 is a very popular powder for 300BLK if you can find it in your area. but so far h110 and lil gun have been solid performers for me

I'd be very careful using the 130 TTSX in 300 BLK. I honestly don't think the 300BLK can push them fast enough to get reliable expansion.

The 110gr Barnes with the black tip is the one designed for 300 BLK velocities.

i like the Sierra pro hunter in 125 grain. It’s a lighter jacket than the 150 pro hunter. They expand good and are cheap. I also like the 125 sst bullet. (Maybe Sierra was cheap, looks like they are going up since more blackouts are around)

I’ve had success on pigs with all the 125’s and the 150 sst and nosler BT bullets.
