There's one at Cabela's on the *cough*bargain*cough* rack for $349. 28 or 30" full choked VR barrel and it has a choate (I think) mag tube extension. Probably used for 3-gun or something. Anyway, I shoot long guns lefty, and I have always wanted a LH 870 like the one Jack carries in Romancing the Stone. (Forgive me; I'm a child of the 80s.)

Should I or shouldn't I? Not that I have any money anyway.

Don't know the gauge, but that's not a bad price for a wingmaster. New 12s are in the $650-800 range around here & lefty aren't too common. You can always get a replacement standard mag cap for $25 if you like. Doubt you would come out underwater on it regardless so long as its in good working condition to begin with. You can always haggle a little on the used ones ya know.

get it you will not be disappointed, as a lefty I have had to conform to the dark side all my life. I now have five lefthand rifles and this left hand rem 870 mag shotgun. that Remington will be running when the mossy has to be retired.

You didn't give condition or what trim it is. Is it the grooved foend ADL or the walnut flordelise checkerd BDL? Deep blue? If it's the BDL in nice shape 350.00 is a good price these days. Especially LH and thats what you want. Magnum receiver is a plus on the older model. You can pick up a shorter slug barrel for it. While the Mossberg 500 is a solid shotgun it's nowhere as finished or smooth as a old Wingmaster. Plus it's a RH model that will throw shells across your face. Thumb safety is nicer. So it's your decision but it doesn't sound like a bad deal.

Looks to be in good shape. Deep blue. Walnut checkered, white line buttpad. Is the safety supposed to be reversed on these? Or is it still the RH safety?

You like the gun, so what's holding you up from buying it???
If you let it go and some one else gets it you will never forgive your self.
And $350 is a good price.

Cabelas does take trades (obviously). If you have something you don't like or use often, or possibly have multiple copies of it, give it a try. You might get more out of a new to you lefty than something else that collects dust.

That's something to consider. For a long time I've held the notion that I don't sell guns; I buy guns. But I probably have a couple I don't use and can't imagine anyone in my family using.

As an old lefty, I'm so used to using wrong sided guns I don't know if I'd be able to operate a left handed one, especially a bolt action. lol

Like tang safeties for obvious reasons.

Yeah... this would theoretically be the only LH gun I own. Not sure I could run it properly. :D

Sounds like a reasonable price depending on condition but never buy what you can't afford.
I'm glad I didn't see it, I can afford it and want it but certainly do not need it.
About a year and a half ago my gun dealer had a new lefty Wingmaster 12ga 3" with chock tubes for about $600.
I think it was pretty old stock. Wonder if it's still there? Dang it 1K

I'm a lefty, I have lefty bolt guns, but there are some "right handed" guns I think work better for Lefty's. M1 carbine, ak, Colt saa, 10/22, and shotguns. I truly hated the left handd Benelli m2 I had.
I'm a huge 870 wingmaster fan,but I pass on lefty.

I do like using my left hand wingmaster, I pump with my right hand and feed a new shell with my left into the left loading-ejection port. with a right hand receiver its a PITA.
