What gun companies have the best customer service?

I've only ever contacted customer service a couple times, both times I was pleased.

S&W- I bought a used 22A, a pistol that requires a plastic recoil buffer. The buffer was shot out and falling apart. I called S&W and volunteered that the gun was bought used; they mailed me a pack of buffers free anyway.
Thumbs up for them.

Armscor- I very recently bought a High Standard 1911 with the Armscor stampings on the underside of the dustcover. I emailed an inquiry to Armscor/Rock Island about whether they made it, if they could give me any info on the gun (I submitted the serial #), and whether it was under any sort of warranty.
2 days later I received a reply;
warranty is intact, gun was made in 2007, they made it and marketed it through Lipseys, and if I ever had any problems with the gun to please contact them for warranty service.
Thumbs up for them too.

My brother had a Bersa .380, which was under the seat of his car, when his car caught fire and burned. Bersa replaced the pistol at no cost, through a gun shop we brought it to (which was a Bersa repair center).
Thumbs up there too.

I’m in the minority. I had bad luck with Ruger. Had back to back gp100s that were junk. Gunshop ate one of them and gave me the other. Chattered barrels that shot pretty bad. Ruger didn’t seem to care. I now find myself lacking excitement for any of the Ruger DA guns. I still like their single actions though.

Not necessarily a gun manufacturer, but RCBS and Lee Precision have pretty stellar CS. I have gotten a few parts from both companies and never once had trouble. Lee asked for a picture, but made it clear that they already had parts slated to ship and they wanted pictures to help troubleshoot what might have gone wrong.

Hk has the best I have ever dealt with over the past 15 + years. They have always been: professional, knowledgeable, efficient, prompt, reasonably priced, courteous and concerned. What more could you ask for?

I think the best customer service experience I had was with Desert Eagle. An undercover model 1911 that I bought from Desert Eagle lost the guide rod for the recoil spring the first time out. A prepaid fedex label was issued, and a driver picked the gun up before the end of the day. I had the gun back exactly five days after that, and it's worked perfectly since.

Ruger also did a great job with my LCP when it kept dropping mags. I think it took no longer than a couple of weeks to get that back.

I've only ever had to deal with Olin/Winchester. WLR primers were defective and damaged the bolt face of my Remington 700. Very friendly CS in my experience. Offered to fix the rifle by paying the bill at any gunsmith of my choice. I didn't go through with it as the damage didn't effect anything whatsoever. So they sent me a $40 check to refund the primers. Good experience.

Savage & Windham has done what was needed when asked over the phone. So there for I did not need to send any gun in. There help was very good. Arma lite was no so good when ask about there M-15-TM The person act like he did NOT care if I bought one! So I found out that the gun was one of the best. It does shoot 1/2 MOA at a hundred yards. No thank to the person at Arma Lite I am a happy man with the gun.

RUGER - hands down.

Broke the flip-up rear sight on my 10-22 - they sent me Three(3) replacements, gratis.

Sent in my old 180 Series Mini-14 for a tune-up/re-barrel, because it was shooting like crap.

...they sent me a brand new 580 Series instead, gratis.

Kimber gave me good service on a Pro Carry II that had a couple of minor issues, covered shipping both ways, decent turn around time.

I tore a Hogue Handall Jr. putting it on my Shield, and called simply to ask them for any tips on installing the next one. They took my address and sent me a replacement, over my protests. (And gave me good advice on loosing it up before attempting to install it.)

Not a gun or accessory, but I damaged the guard on my Buck 119 somehow when moving and called to see if it was something they could repair. They said it wasn't repairable but offered to send me a replacement knife, despite it not being a warranty issue. Seemed like very good people.

I think hi-point is hard to beat especially when you consider they are the cheapest handgun out there . If it doesn't work they make it work no question asked . That is one reason I call B.S. when people say they are unreliable. If they don't work Hi-point will make work.

Browning/ Winchester, Arnold, MO. - a tad slow but the workmanship is outstanding.
I agree with Steve S., while slow Winchester has treated me more than fair on 2 different occasions, one repair one replacement.

And like others have said Ruger is very good.

Savage and Uberti have both fixed or offered to fix small issues that I have had. I took awhile to get a hold of them but once I got a person on the phone issues have been dealt with fairly and quickly.

GLOCK turned around my G-42 in one day and sent it back with a complete explanation of every update they made. It has been 100% since.

SIG has a lifetime warranty to the original owner but I have yet to use it. Perhaps that is the BEST customer service?
