Just be aware that if you put BUIS on an Oracle you can’t use a standard front sight. It needs a taller front sight. So you can’t just go buy a set of standard Magpul, it won’t work.

If you look at an Oracle the gas block sits lower than the receiver, it is quite obvious.

If you ground off the rail on the front gas block, or replaced the gas block with a low profile you could easily slip on a fortis style forend that uses a standard barrel nut. Otherwise it is a tear down to put on a free float forend, but for that price it's a heck of a deal

I have one of those, it's a serviceable rifle. I put about 900 rounds through it in pretty short order at Christmas and I don't think I had one hiccup. Truth being stranger than fiction, it has a better trigger than my gen-u-wine Colt H-Bar. The gas block thing is an issue... as it was on my RRA upper I bought. I think I spent $50'ish on a proper gas block from Brownells.

What does one do if you don't want to replace the gas block; is there a riser that would work?

I've got an Oracle...had it several years. I put a Yankee Hill Machine gas block riser on mine. No problems.
