870 Wingmaster that my Dad bought for me used in the 1970s when i was about 15, and then a Taurus 66 that I bought when I moved out in 1986.

During high school I had my side by side 12ga. First purchased revolver (1968) was a .357 Blackhawk $69. Next a .357 S&W Mod 28 Highway Partolman 6" $98. That gun went hunting, fishing, trapping and exploring everything with me. When I picked up my permit they told me the only place I couldn't cary was a bar.

The Evangelist Cowboy asked:
What were your starting off HD guns?

Same thing it has been pretty much my whole life; an RG-25 25 ACP pistol. I learned how to shoot using a Marlin Model 60, but it was never an HD gun.

Myself: HD wasn't a concern when I started as all were used for recreation. Today, I have various types/calibers concealed throughout the house.

Wife: Purchased before I met her, a FEG Mark 2 .380. Sill have it. Excellent condition.
I once had a FEG Olympic air pistol. Great quality!

The poor man's Mossberg, a Maverick 88.

These days, it's an AR15 in 9mm with a Kobra red dot and a SureFire flash. Nice and nasty.

Until I turned 21 I used an 1100 16 ga. I had to use it to protect some coeds next door from a guy trying to break down their door. All in the days prior to 911 being available. When I turned 21, I bought a Model 19 6" and still have it.
And I'm still friends with the two coeds to this day.
