CMMG 22 LR Conversion kit

I have a dedicated 22lr AR, a HK 416 D. It’s a great rifle and very accurate, but I like my conversion BCG because I can use my regular rifle to train with.

So what’s the difference between your CMMG and your “real one”? Other than the fact that the CMMG is plastic?
What do they do to it to keep the little cases from getting stuck between it and the receiver?

Basically it doesn't have the channel for the gas key. There's just a little cutout for the gas tube if you are using it with a conversion kit so that it will fit a normal upper.

Ironically, in my dedicated upper there is no gas tube, so the cutout is a perfectly 22 LR sized cavity above the bolt.

Again, I've never had a problem either way with cases not ejecting...knock on wood.

I have one of each. They both have pluses and minuses.

If I had unlimited budget I would clone my m4 upper with the CMMG dedicated upper and swap uppers instead because the POI shift is significant with the adapter.

Instead I keep the money in my pocket and I just adjust the red dot.

There's no doubt that the dedicated upper is the best way to go, but i like having the option of dropping the conversion kit in my rifle or my AR pistol.
