For those with experience, is there any advantage to one or the other? Both show up on PSA ‘standard’ .308 uppers complete w/bcg for $299. I live in Deep South so prefer stainless.

Are they generally as accurate as, e.g., GI garand rifles? Is the bcg they include ok?

Combined with my $149 Magpul / EPT lower it may be possible to get a decent AR10 for $448 sans sights and mags, seems a good buy. (I have a good Burris scope / mount).

I have been told that stainless steel barrels tend to be more easily machined to a more precise standard. Whether that specific barrel from PSA benefits from that is unknown to me, but as a general rule I will choose stainless steal for barrels that I expect to be more accurate and nitriding for barrels I expect to be more duty-oriented.

Mine is much more accurate than any M1 Garand I have shot. It is also easy to mount optics
