Glock 26 red dot?

I would like to, not keen on a dovetail mount. So the slide would be need to be milled seems like about $150 plus the cost of the dot.

Complicated how? Installlation? Use?

Use is fairly simple. Focus on your target and bring the gun up into your line of sight as if you are going to use the irons, red dot should become visible, place the dot on target, press the trigger.

Milled slide installation is best, suppressor height iron back up sights are a good idea as well.

Definitely go with a milled slide because it mounts the red dot as low as possible on the slide. I have a G19 gen 4 with a slide milled by Jagerwerks. I move the Venom red dot between the G19 and a Browning Buck Mark .22 LR target pistol. The red dot works great for these old eyes!

Burris makes a dovetail mounting plate for Glocks that fits their Fastfire red dots. Very easy installation.

Installation. Easy to use I feel sure. Not sure about the install. Not too interested in drilling into my slide myself if I can avoid it.

There are companies that will mill out the top of your slide to perfectly fit the red dot of your choice. It makes a more solid installation and seats the sight lower toward the bore axis. Some can provide a piece to cover the milled out section if you decide not to use the red dot sight (similar to what Glock provides on their MOS guns). It is an additional expense, and involves permanently modifying your slide.

Thanks. What’s that beautiful setup you have in your picture?

Trijicon RM02 with Ameriglo suppressor iron back-up sights. Mill work was done by Mark Housel of L&M Precision GunWorks: https://www.landmprecisiongunworks.com/. As the name implies, it is precision fitted. If you order a slide cover plate (to cover the gap if you want to run it without the red dot) at the same time, it too will precisely fit.
